Hitman: contracts

Been playing around with it and like there are several ways to get to the end of a level. Do not like trying to get the "silent assassin" rank on professional. I can nearly make it but either the effing cop can hear me whilst I'm crouchin ( yeah right, wish I could hear that good  , some cracking game design there) or that Spotlight sees me, which next I'm going to attempt to put a bullet in from the balcony. I will nail this cheap police hearing son of a bitch.

Currently alternating between Destiny, DriveClub, Dragon Age, Pro Evo and GW3. Really enjoying them all. I shelved AC Unity as it gets pretty boring pretty quickly.

Just started getting back into Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories though I'm bit miffed as my save data where I got further was somehow lost so I had to re-do four worlds. I'm not looking forward to eventual ice shield boss fight #1, I remembered feeling the relief when I beat him at that time only for him to appear next world and made me get stuck. Blah.

Ah well gotta use this to re-learn the game, hopefully I'll be able to beat the game.

Thinking of going back to either Persona 3: FES on PS2, Persona 4 Golden or Final Fantasy X on Vita. I fancy JRPG all of sudden.

I'm still playing Stealth Inc 2 and Smash Wii U.

Tinkered around with the level editor in Stealth Inc 2. It's not the clearest thing, but you could get some mileage out of it once its learned. Still very much loving the game, although I'm stuck on the current level.

Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Yay, I've finally beat those bastard centaurs!

That boss fight was what made me give up on the game on the original X Box, thought I'd pick it up for £3 on Gold as I thought the control system for the quick time thing would work better/be easier on the newer console. How wrong I was.

I tried the 'swim back into the cave' glitch several times only to get blown to f'ck going in, blown to f'ck coming out or trashed by the remaining centaur on return after hanging in the stupid cave for around ten - fifteen minutes at a time, so gave up on that strategy. I just decided, bollocks to it, I'm beating the banana splits the proper way if it takes all night and I f'kin did it!

Only been doing it on & off all day.

Now I can hopefully enjoy the rest of the damn game.

Less currently playing and more currently "listening" - I have accidentally stumbled upon the Burnout 3 soundtrack on YouTube and have spent the last hour or so in a nostalgic haze. It takes me back to being 17.

The soundtrack was actually slated as being pretty crap - and it probably is - but I poured so many hours into that game on LIVE that they became ingrained into my memory and a big part of the game. Really wish I had a copy with me.

2003-2005 was the peak of Xbox LIVE too. There, I said it. You had Halo 2, Burnout 3, Rainbow Six, PGR 2 and Splinter Cell. The best thing was that because only a few games had LIVED multiplayer, everyone played the same games so the userbase wasn't split over many titles. Thanks to RF and other GRcadians, we basically just all ended up playing together constantly, and it was great.

The Banner Saga
I kinda expected to play this for an hour and give up, as i have a pretty short attention span especially when it comes to strategy games. It generally has to be as good as Civ 5 in order to hold my attention. But this is really great. Its like a cross between a choose your own adventure book and a TBS. The choices are great too, its not like black and white "do you want to do EVIL or GOOD action??". Theyre genuinely tough decisions to make at times, and strawberry float me its bleak. I love it. Everythings going to gooseberry fool and im being chased out of my homelands by a threat i have no hope of beating and party members are dying left and right. Properly grim. Loving it :D

I recently bought Dragon Age Inquisition on PC, and was about to start it, but it became quickly apparent that I really wanted to know what happened in the previous games, so I bought DA2, then fired up the unplayed copy of Dragon Age: Origins I've had in Steam since the summer sale.

Holy gooseberry fool, how did this series pass me by for this long? Admittedly, I've pushed the game down to Easy to blast through the story with no roadblocks, but I'm having a great time. This is what I've wanted from a WRPG for so long. Simple, top-down combat, but with a story that doesn't require tons and tons of reading to get a handle on. I've found there's too much to take in with the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Editions, while something like the Witcher complicates combat too much. This game is right in my sweet spot, and the only thing I could ask for is controller support, which I'm hoping the other games have.

Don't expect same thing from Dragon Age 2. I enjoyed it, but it's easily worst one of the series. DA:Origins is great though, probably my favourite WRPG last generation. Dragon Age Inquisition seems to be great, much better than DA2 already.

Shadow of mordor. Just got to the second area. This is excellent. Got it half price too. Great combat, interesting story..ish.

Love it so far.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Bought Cognition from an Indie Gala bundle for a couple of quid. Haven't played any of the other games but I love Cognition, it's already become one of the best games I've played this year. It's a point and click game where you play as a FBI agent and solve murders with a ongoing arc over four cases. Case 1 took me like 4.5 hours according to Steam though it's almost certainly probably completable in less than an hour. :slol:

This is the police detective game I've been waiting for after being badly let down by LA Noire and Heavy Rain with a nice Walking Dead style cel shading. The bundle's still on there until Friday so everyone buy it.

Replaying A Link Between Worlds. Best Zelda game in ages. I think it's better than everything after Majora's Mask.

The first Dragon Age is amazing on the PC as you can play it as a tbs kind of game by adjusting the camera and pausing the game in between actions and the character upgrades are complex enough to add depth and a sense of choice in play styles as there are enough different character types available to recruit you aren't forced to play in any single way.
I completed it 3 or 4 times and thoroughly enjoyed every second.

That's why I'm glad the third game has put the tactical camera back as I've never seen the series as a hack and slash type gme they tried to make it for consoles.

Nearing the end of Wind Waker HD - So many moments I had forgotten from when I first played this over a decade ago.

I do feel that this game is a few dungeons short of being the best zelda.

I will continue to play it after witnessing the ending and get all of the collectibles as well as complete the sidequests - some of which I did not do back on the Gamecube. I would say my other criticism is how easy the boss fights are.

Looks amazing in HD and would love to replay it again some point in the future. I really thing all of the first party Nintendo Gamecube games need to be remastered like this for the Wii U - a cheap way of keeping the console going until 2018, when a successor will probably be released. Mario Sunshine HD first please!

Replaying Mario Galaxy

Completely forgot about the Slingshot Web things, that is a pretty cool gameplay mechanic. I missed the IR pointer stuff in 3D World.

Edit - 30 stars in. This is still phenomenal. I hope we get another Mario Galaxy.

Hyrule Warriors on Wii U. I've played the first three or four chapters of the main story mode (just killed Gohma) and I'm quite enjoying this. Only just realised there were heart pieces/containers hidden in each level so I'm gonna have to go back and get the ones I've missed.

GTA: San Andreas
Completed the main game, just trying to get some of the achievements. strawberry floating hell it’s boring. The ambulance/taxi/firefighter/vigilante missions in particular :dread:. So dull.

Metroid Prime
Went back to this after quite a long break. Was enjoying myself until I came to a real pain in the arse boss. Seems to be a recurring theme; generally enjoying the exploration side of things, but then you come up to a tedious, frustrating boss battle that just saps the enjoyment out of the game.
