Splatoon 2 - Absolutely addicted to turf mode and have had some decent sessions on Salmon Run. Love how balanced the games feel and the options available although some of the design decisions are baffling at times even by Nintendo's standards.

Invisible, Inc.

Finally got round to playing this and I'm really enjoying it, its a nice blend of XCOM and MGS style stealth - its bloody hard though.

Assassins Creed 2 - Started playing this back in 2013 (or so my save file tells me!), shortly after finally getting round to finishing the first game. I played the first section of the game and then when I reached the point where it really opens up and I was presented with a map with seemingly hundreds of icons on it I stopped playing. I just couldn't face it.

Finally thought it was about time I went back to it, so far I'm really enjoying it. Have found myself jumping to my death by accident on a few occasions with free running/climbing feeling a little wonky at times but it's good fun to play, hopefully I can stick with it and see it through this time around.

A weekend of rain saw me play a few games.

MGS Ground Zeroes (PC - completely forgot I had it in the old Steam Library. It was only due to my picking up MGS 5 and the MGS HD collection I was reminded).

Metroid Prime - GC
TDU 2 - Xbox 360
Dying Light - PS4
Diablo 3 - PS4

Xenoblade Chronicles
I'm about 5 hours into this. I like it so far. Looks pretty good, sense of scale is impressive, and I like the battle system (for the most part). Characters and plot are okay, feels like it's only just getting started, and so I'm looking forward to a long journey ahead. Been a while since I've got properly stuck into a RPG like this. :datass:

Glass Masquerade
At the other end of the spectrum, this is a nice relaxing puzzle game where you put pieces of broken clock faces together again, along to a relaxing soundtrack. Very chilled out, not too challenging (yet) and a good change of pace. Nice to dip in and out of.

Xenoblade Chronicles is awesome. It still shocks me that game came out on the Wii. The areas are HUGE.

Skyrim. Decided that, as I never finished it, I'd give the Special Edition a go and try and get through the main story at least. It's surprisingly playable, even if the combat is a bit shite.

Best/essential mods brer? I've a few already going but it doesn't seem to look that much better, and I've seen your screenshots in that there thread.

Had to walk away from modding Skyrim. It takes over. Everything.

That said I do now have a lovely looking, gameplay improved and stable Skyrim sat on my PC.

Tried the SE version, but it doesn't like some of the better mods and to my knowledge still no script extender?

Lego Batman on PS3. I played the hero campaign on 360 years ago but for whatever reason never got around to the villains campaign. I'm gonna get the whole thing beat this time. So far so Lego.

True it doesn't, but there was talk from the SKSE bunch they were working on it. That has now all gone quiet.

As it stands original Skyrim is still the best place for modding Skyrim.

Recently returned to Sword Coast Legends on PC and PS4. This is a D&D dungeon crawler, which was released back in 2015. I have to say I do find the dungeon crawling aspect very enjoyable - kind of like a Diaboesque loot-'em'up with a much slower pace and even the ability to pause the gameplay for a faux turn-based aspect of play. It's not very strategic, though, and even in the procedurally-generated Dungeon Crawl mode (you can play against the AI with three AI party members to help you out) it's just a simple linear 'get from point A to be B' affair.

The consoles never got the complete Dungeon Master mode, either. A shame - on PC the fully-fleshed-out DM Editor mode offers the player the ability to create entire campaigns, complete with questing, a story line and interactions with NPCs across a huge variety of tile sets. There are almost 2000 user-made SCL Campaigns available to download for the game.

The game is dead cheap now on any platform and well worth picking up if you're even marginally partial to fairly good-looking isometric (fully 3D) dungeon crawlers set in a classic D&D universe. Get the PC version if you fancy creating your own campaigns to share with others.

A work colleague has mentioned this a few times. Says it's good.

Same work colleague gifted me a code for Guardians of the Ember. An isometric MMO that I believe can be played alone. Haven't tried as it yet though.

Hmm. I'll investigate Guardians of the Ember. Thanks for the tip-off.

Had a day off yesterday so played quite a few different games. Probably got the most Gamerscore on a single day ever - even ahead of MHTL for the month!

Battlefield 1 - Finished the campaign. The first chapter I played when I got it when it first come out was the tank one. I think that was the worse one. Quite enjoyed the rest of them. Took a few goes to destroy the train on the Arabian level.

Ryse - Working my way through replaying it on Legendary so did a level and then as I was quite close to picking up quite a few multiplayer achievements worked on them. Anyone else still play this?

Forza Horizon - Thought I'd start this so by the time I'm through 3 will be really cheap. I think I'm going to prefer it more than the second. The location seems better. Got some belting songs on the soundtrack too.

Mortal Kombat X - Done some living towers with 3 different characters to edge a bit closer to several different achievements.

FIFA 17 - Pick up halfway through a Division 2 season where I was facing relegation. Beat Dortmund 3-2 after going 1-0 down. Bit Liverpool 2-1 after going 1-0 down - this was particularly satisfying as he played a very high pressure game, but I defended well and took 2 chances clinically within minutes of each other. Went 2-0 up against someone playing as Sporting Lisbon who then quit. I was now safe from relegation and in with a chance of promotion but my winning run came to an end. It was a particularly disappointing to lose to this person. He was Dortmund and played a defensive 4-1-4-1. For the first half he spent most of the time keeping possession in his defence, think he had about 65%. I normally edge possession but generally are doing something with it. He then scored with a header from a free kick, that might have just been in his half. I equalised, he scored, I equalised, he scored and this time I couldn't pull it back.

Finished off with a few games of Battlefront for old times sake. First game took town the AT-ATs on only the second opportunity to attack on Twilight on Hoth which is some going. Normally Empire win on that.

Also playing a few different things on my new 3DS XL when I get a spare few minutes - mostly in the morning before I get up for work. Super Mario Kart and Super Mario Land - still as good as ever. Mario Kart 7, initial thoughts are very good. Mario Tennis - seems similar to the N64 version which is good. Zelda OOT, I've only ever played through this the one time when I first game out, it's not my imagination it's been improved graphically hasn't it?

I played about an hour of Batman Arkham Knight last night. I really hope there's not going to be too much of the strawberry floating Batmobile, but I've got a horrible feeling there will be.

Yeah, the 3DS version has been spruced up a bit from the N64 original, Ste. It looks great running on that smaller screen(s), too!
