I have a few scary games on the backlog. Outlast, Soma, Amnesia. Hoping to get stuck into them soon.

Fired up BF1 for the first time last night. Had a look through the campaign while MP installed. As expected more a comic book adaptation of the horrors of WWI, but impressive nonetheless. Will take a look at MP this weekend, which, like most, is the main reason I bought it.

I didn't think it was, was always surprised at the reputation it seemed to garner. Man, I should replay HL2. :datass:

You should do what the 3/4 of man babies on here do and wimp out of playing anything scary. Cheaper laundry bill for you, anyway.

No way buff, gotta power on through. I'm really enjoying it apart from the underwear changes.

Nothing like getting chased around by crazy nekkid dudes. Although, the game did the ultimate dick move, camera fell down a hole :dread:

Final Fantasy VI on BSNES w/a CRT filter and this patch applied

This game has without question been on my to-do list longer than any other, and a big part of that was me being unsure which version to play. Decided that I'd be likely to replay the game down the line, so I went original for now and will likely go GBA or Steam in future. Funny how no matter which iteration you go for, you'll want to patch it to fix things heh.

Regardless, I'm having so much fun with it :D The script is pretty simplistic and clearly held back by the limitations of small storage space, but it still gets by with bags of charm and immensely creative scenarios. Was actually surprised to see how goofy it is too! I'm only a third in so I'm sure the tone will go south in time, but so far it's made me laugh multiple times. I also love the variety in characters, provides some really fun abilities to play around with.

Out of the FFs I've finished (1/3/4/5/7/9), this is easily ranking as one of the best so far. So glad to finally be playing it!

Nioh (PS4)

Not quite what I was expecting (I was hoping for something closer to Ninja Gaiden) but it's pretty fun, nevertheless. Interesting and nuanced combat system seems like it has been stretched quite thinly over an overly-long, slightly repetitive story. In an effort to make the game more Souls-ey, it's diluted what made the combat of Gaiden so great. I don't think there has been a third-person adventure / fighting game that has bettered that Gaiden in my opinion.

Virtues Last Reward

Having finished the previous Zero Escape game the other day and thoroughly enjoying it I decided to get stuck into this one straight away.

It seems a little more 'oddball' than the first game as some of the characters are incredibly strange to say the least,
Zero III is probably one of the most insane gaming villains I've ever seen and also one of the most hilarious (them rabbit puns  ). I'm not entirely sure what they were thinking with the redesign of Clover, I didn't actually realise she was the same character at first.

Still spending most of my game time playing PES 2017. I'm dabbling with FF XIV Online but haven't played since last week. It was fun to join the GRcade Mario Kart session on Monday as I'd missed a couple of weeks :) .

Oh, man, I really want to get into that! I started it a few years ago but just played the opening hour or so. I suspect I stopped because of the scares but the design and atmosphere were terrific. It could be time for me to power up the PS3 again!

I'm quoting this to remind myself to check out that patch later :toot:

Ys Origins (Vita)
Enjoying this so far, about 3 hrs in.

Assassins Creed 2 (PS4)
Was really enjoying it and up to Seq 12 or 13 but now reached some DLC that was added into main game and it's annoying filler stuff which is proving frustrating too assassinate 9 lieutenants. Parked it for now

Persona 4 Golden (Vita)
Just saved Naoto but after 55 hrs or so, fancied a break as it's a grating experience at times.

MLB17 The Show (PS4)
Loved MLB16 and this is more of the same which is a good thing. The presentation is top notch and this, along with PES17, is getting my quick sporting needs attention.

PES2017 (PS4)
Keep returning for a quick 30 mins or so most times I fire the PS4 up. Love it

Spyro 2 on PS1 via PS3. Enjoying this so far for the most part but I wish they would have got rid of the flying levels. I hated them in the first game and they might even be worse here, they're so frustrating.

I'm still playing PES 2017 (PS4). Nothing else, though... I've not returned to Final Fantasy XIV Online (PS4) for about a week now and I've lost my desire to play other stuff.

Ho-hum, maybe that gaming zest will return soon.

Out of interest, how did you settle on using BSNES?
