For the first time in ages, I've turned on my PS3. I've loaded up Deadly Premonition... it's one of my fave games bar I never got that far into it before.

I recall that the opening chapter is a bit of a pain in some aspects but I will start afresh so that I got the proper experience. The PS3 is not dead!

...dang! I'd forgotten just how creepy and funny and rubbish and fantastic this is  . I'd *love* a remake of the game, although you'd need to be careful not to detract from any of the clunky charm.

Wouldn't you agree, Zach?

I tried playing this but the PC version is knackered for controller support and the frame rate on the PS3 is poor. If I ever get this working with a controller on a PC I may one day return to it.....

So I've started TLoU again. Third time.

Yeah perhaps I should really be firing up something I've yet to play at all, but when you get an itch...

*edit* Things just got interesting. The wife has asked if I'd move the PS3 from the games room back into the living room as she'd like to see TLoU as she'd heard so much about it. Outside of her mobile phone she doesn't game much at all these days, (Disney Infinity on Xbox with the kids mostly). Maybe I can encourage her to try TLoU for herself...

The Turing Test - PC

A decent puzzle game that isn't quite as clever as it thinks it is; its not as good as the Talos Principle but pretty close to Portal.

The Nonary Games (PS4)

I've been streamed the whole of 999 as I replay it so my boyfriend can watch me playing it, and it was fun hearing his reactions and thoughts. The remaster/remake is also best way to play the game (except the last puzzle maybe, since it's... Too easy on this one) with flowchart addition, text advancement, and be able to jump to any earlier sections.

With 999 done I've went ahead and started Virtue Last Reward again, there seems to be no real difference between the original release and this one, which is what I expected really. I don't remember how puzzles work so it's great time to play vlr without any advantage save knowing how the flowchart works.

Just finished The Last of Us and on Left Behind now. Pretty sure I'm about half way through. Must give TLoU multiplayer a go too.

It really is super-odd and I'm having a lot of fun getting back into this. Tech-wise it's weak but, for storyline and atmosphere, it's terrific. I've just met Mr Stewart :o .

I think we should carry on, Zach.

I want to replay Deadly Premonition and it being BC on Xbox One is great news!

I'll have to get it digital sometime next year.

Still on Lords of the Fallen (after giving it up after a hissy fit of it being too difficult and coming back to it). Another problem I've encountered is that I managed to do 2 of the lords in the wrong order. This resulted in me not knowing what to do next and having to go back to the scene of where I killed a previous lord to trigger the next bit of the game. Bit silly that it lets you play the game out of sequence, but whilst doing so my man has got more beefier meaning it is very bad news for most of the enemies who get in my way.

I killed the Champion (in the catacombs from the graveyard) before killing the lord across the bridge (where the crafter bloke is). I then had to go back to the catacombs to where I killed the Champion to be let into the place where you need to meet the two guys who are next in the quest (the planetarium area).

Might have been nine years after everyone else has played and finished it but I guess you're finally having the last laugh, Photek.

Legend of Grimrock II - Great game, but damn hard combat.

Might &Magic X: Legacy. - Not quite as good as previous entrants in the series, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Back to my play through of TLoU later tonight.

I just played a little bit of Zombi. It was actually quite tense, I was quite surprised how scary I actually found it. That said I didn't really encounter anything that difficult the Zombies were easily dispatched. The graphics are quite bad and it seems very straight forward. Going to try and play a bit more. What were other people experiences of the game?

Too terrifying to play, but I’ve toughrned up since so I might give it a retry.

It is not a bad game but the graphics are fairly poor, even when playing on Wii U launch day I was disappointed. It does get quite difficult in some places and a few of the puzzles can be a pain, but overall, worth sticking with.

That's good to hear I'll stick with it then.
