True, Hime. Yeah, a bit of further thought and I basically think "Ah, so what - just play what you want to, when you want to!".

Completely agree. I've tried to do the whole 'must complete this game before moving onto the next' but it just doesn't work for me. I got more than half a dozen games on the go at the moment and no doubt, as the week unfolds, I'll add a few more to that pile. Just play whatever takes your mood at the time.

After a while of grinding for gold/enemies killed on Fairy Fencer F (going for all achievements) I've decided to take break and started Clannad as of hour ago. So far I'm enjoying it.

Jawa, why don't you play a bit of Bloodborne and level.up some more? Practice your dodging, attacks and stuff like that, farming some souls, items and improving your stats? What level are you at the moment?

How many actual attempts have you made at the CB? Because if it's less than half a dozen, you're still basically learning how to fight it. It's not that it's two difficult, it's that you don't know what you're doing. But improving your stats will at least give you more protection from mistakes. I'm thinking specifically improving either your health (so you can take more hits) or your stamina (so you can get more hits in and dodge more before tiring).

The thing is, it's not a game where you can just have one attempt a boss and then put the game down for a few days. If you take an extended break you might find yourself worse off than before.

There's also the thing in Dark Souls where the first boss is often one of the most difficult. You might find you kill some later on on your first and second go.

The Cleric Beast is a bastard, as is those first few hours of Bloodborne. Not that it gets easier, but as with all these games you'll eventually find your flow and feel more prepared.

PUBG has taken over all my game time. :fp: Played it for 6 hours last night and Saturday night. The fact that there's now a test server with a new map and also because every game turns out different means we just keep playing 'one more time'. After it's 13 updates it's now running great and with more to come before release it just keeps things interesting, not least the fact we'll have 2 maps this month and 2 more to come over the next few.

Away from that though I've found some time for Sea of Thieves, despite it's content flaws, it's still one of the prettiest games around and I now like to listen to a good podcast or the radio via Xbox Apps in the background while I sail about. The quick guide is easy to higher and lower the audio of whatever you're listening to so I adjust it some times if I'm on an island so I can hear skellies. It's an MMO but entirely free of MMO tropes, quite the feat.

For Honor was free this weekend and I played an hour of it, the mp impressed me so much I picked it up in the sale for €17.50. Went back to Gears 4, I kinda grew bored of it on release at end of Act 2 but now with the spawn enemies it's great again. It looks absolutely ridiculous on X1X and that's on performance mode, can't wait to see it on a 4K TV, it's stunning to look at and all the mayhem running at 60fps!

Can't get enough of those Lancer kills.

I was playing Wolfenstein The New Colossus and I got to a particularly important story point, only for it to crash mid save. Now I can't get into my profile to play it. Eugh.

It's pretty good as well, I'm definitely not playing through all that again to get to where I was though. Might give it a few years, pick it up on PC.

Weirdly of the 3 Souls games I've played I've beaten the first boss at my first attempt each time.

Uncharted: Lost Legacy

Think I'm coming towards the end now but I've been absolutely loving this, it's a remarkably pretty game and I feel they've balanced the action, story-telling and puzzles really well. It's also a refreshing change to playing as someone other than Nathan and I think both Chloe and Nadine make for brilliant protagonists. Will be quite gutted once it's over!

Just started Super Mario Bros 2. Never played it before. Pretty weird isn't it. Not bad, just...odd. It's not holding my interest like Super Mario Bros did.

Clannad is still holding my interest, it's quite slow going but I'm enjoying how heartwarming it is (although it does have moments where I cringed at, ha). Which makes me dread the moment as I know it's meant to be very sad game :slol:

That being said I've read that it could take 80 to 100 hours to finish :o (With all routes etc, maybe more if want to get everything) I think I'll have to add another game to mix for variety over next few days.

Black Desert Online.

Had it sat on Steam for an age after picking it up for under a tenner. Decided to have a brief look yesterday evening. So far it seems like your usual MMO afair, albeit with a very JRPG look and feel to the game. What struck me immediately about BDO is that it is by far and away one of the prettiest MMO titles I've played with a huge emphasis on character creation that is not only incredibly detailed, but which can be continually tweaked and refined to your hearts content once the opening tutorial is out of the way.

Will have to play some more to see if it has any legs, but initial impressions are promising.

Been playing a bit of the F2P game Midair. It's essentially a Tribes clone, but after Tribes:Ascend lost its playerbase thanks to some shitty decisions it's nice to have something to fill the void.

Been playing Burnout Paradise Remastered for most of the weekend and for a 10 year old game it's incredibly fun and much better than all the recent Need For Speed games. Probably EA got a new Burnout in development.

Started playing Transistor. The combat in this game is really strawberry floating cool. I hope they flesh it and the game out more.

Playing lot of Fire Emblem heroes has gotten me back into Fire Emblem Fates Birthright, this time I've decided to stop going stalling by grinding for S-links and levelling them up, and just do chapters. I made it bit too easy so far but I do have Conquest for prevention of over-grinding.

Enjoying the story so far, and I like the locations. Just had to turn off battle animations though as I've got so many units it's lot of paddling...

Jumped back onto Doom last night (PS4). Such a fantastic game, although coming from the PC version I did have to up the sensitivity for movement as I felt I couldn't zip around quick enough when surrounded by beasties.

And then some more of AC Origins. I like that the generally relaxed pace means I can just dip in and out of the game at my leisure.

I need to get back to AC origins, it looks eye bleedingly gorgeous on X1X, I think I'm past the half way stage and I have killed all bar 1 on my kill list but I haven't been to most of the map... :o

I've been meaning to ask about the kill list. I'm already on the last one, but I'm only level 13 and barely feel like I've scratched the surface. I'm guessing there must be some twist in the story I've not seen yet?

Got bored at the weekend, so I loaded Pokémon Gold back up to start a new run. Just going to see how quickly I can get through it with just Feraligatr, might see how it differs with Typhlosion and Meganium. I could see the Meganium one being tricky compared to the other two mind so I'll leave that for last.

I've also been playing F1 2017 as well, just up to Silverstone in my second season and I've just finished buying all the departmental efficiency upgrades so upgrades cost 50% less meaning my upgrade path from now should be very quick although I think I'll drop one upgrade into each of the reliability upgrades before starting on performance, I've waited this long to get going a few more races won't make much difference.
