Started Just Cause 3 yesterday and, simply put, it's explosive fun. Felt quite heavy/tight to begin with (is that strange?) but I'm now hanging loose in one of the most scenic open worlds Iv'e been in.

Loved the previous game a whole lot and so with 4 on the horizon I reckoned now's as good a time as any.

I strawberry floating love this game so much. And side from the amazing gameplay, shoutout to the artists behind this game. The art is absolutely beautiful, i dont think i can think of a place that feels more "real" than Karnaca. And those creepy as gooseberry fool portraits and paintings scattered around the levels are my everything. The level of artistry in this game is absolutely God Tier.

It is truly a stunning game, even more so than the first which was itself gorgeous to look at. Always pains me when I see people moaning about "but the textures look SO low res, what is this a PS2 title!!! Look at the cartoony characters what is this gooseberry fool LOLOLOL!".

Philistines!

There were only two things that really disappointed me from an artistic and world building perspective in Dishonored 2. Firstly the levels were still too compact and broken into subsections for my liking, it's better than the first game in this regard but still limiting when compared to its key inspirations like Thief and Deus Ex. And secondly the fact that everyone in Karnaca sounds exactly like everyone in Dunwall - destroyed the sense of being in a foreign land when all the guards and NPCs all sound the same as those "back home"

Really need to go back to Dishonored 2, I started it to play over a weekend but then Mario Rabbids turned up early and I shelved it. First game was incredible too.

I very much appreciate that it lets you legitimately do a no powers run.

This has inspired me to finally start Death of the Outsider.

It's already great.

It's great, Billie's powers are really fun, especially her face stealing power. Also she's a Black, gay, disabled protagonist so with you being a massive SJW who gives lefties a bad name you'll love it

I mean, it was GoTG before it finished loading.

I just wish that stealth was a bit better in D2. It is very fun just rampaging through everyone though.

This just reminds me of a Bo Selecta sketch...

Me best mate’s a gay and he’s in a wheelchair and he’s black and he wears a turbine. In fact he’s every minority group you can think of and I think he’s proper bo I tell thee.

My boyfriend was watching bunch of sonic adventure related games on YouTube and it made me want to play SA2 on Xbox again, so I've done just that. Had to start again tho because no longer on gold and I don't want to renew just to transfer my save from 360 to Xbox one... But then again I've managed to beat all of the stories in about six or less hours.

I'm gonna see if I can get all emblems, or at least collect many before I get fed up. I know it's not well liked by kthe gaming community but I really enjoyed Adventure games, especially SA2. That and Chao Garden is bloody excellent, wish it'd come back in new sonic games :(

Jumped onto GTA Online to try out the Trading Places Remix mode, and good gravy is it tense. It also seems that every map has a choke point that can be exploited by the Juggernauts so the Beasts can never trade places with anyone if it is held well enough. Much better than the Hunting Pack Remix mode which is completely random and more often than not involves your own teammates screwing you over.
Too bad these new Remix modes will die in a month just like nearly every other Adversary mode.

Ignore the rabid Sonic fanboys, SA2B had loads of good things going on, including the Chao stuff. It's not close to perfect by a long stretch but it's a solid 7.5/10 game.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I'd play SA over Sonic Mania any day.

Shenmue
Well I've managed to play it twice since purchasing. Not buying any new console games until I definitely have the time to play them.

Bayonetta
Thus is brilliant. I could do without the pervy Japanese stuff but the game is excellent. Switch gaming works so much better for me at the moment. Genuinely considering a gaming laptop :dread: :shifty:

Into The Breach

Playing this again on Switch has cemented its position in my mind as one of the best tactics games ever made. By removing the majority of randomness it very rarely feels like the game is cheating, or that "I could've won if that hit had landed!" It also makes decision making feel like...decision making. You no longer have to weigh up the percentage chance of a plan working: if it's a good plan, it will work.

The framing is also fantastic. The music is perfect, the writing (courtesy of Fallout/Obsidian vet Chris Avellone) minimalist yet interesting. Oh man it's good.

Death of the Outsider

Just got my powers, and was overjoyed to find the mana bar refills completely over time. One of my major grudges with immersive sims is that they are often designed around the use of special abilities but limit the use of them due to balancing. Here, Arkane have found the holy grail: a set of powers that are readily available and never over-powered.

It's good.

Feel like it's just in the sphere of contemporary critics where the game is viewed negatively overall, whereas among audiences the reception is a bit more mixed but leaning towards positive. Even a lot of people who'd say the games are bad will grudgingly admit they enjoyed them or at least parts of them (usually the Sonic/Shadow sections).

I like the games. They're clearly flawed but they have heart.

Also I dunno about the version on 360 or other more modern consoles, but the Steam version of SA2 is particularly good. For me at least, the updated controls in that version make a lot of difference.

I was pretty surprised, from all the current Smash talk, to find out how popular Shadow the Hedgehog actually is. I thought Tails would be the obvious choice for another Sonic character in Smash but it seems a lot of people are expecting (and hoping for) Shadow. I guess part of that must be from SA2 being more popular amongst the wider audience than you'd expect from the critical reception.

Shadow is popular in the fandom, but I guess more people are asking for/expecting Shadow because he'd presumably be an echo fighter of Sonic and would thus be easier to implement. Not that Tails couldn't be an echo fighter of Sonic either, but he's different enough that they probably wouldn't go down that route with him if they decided on him instead.
