I started Yooka Laylee again this evening, seem to be enjoying it a lot more than when I last tried it actually (probably not helped by the fact I was still playing Mario Odyssey at that time). It's by no means perfect but it's a nice game, not looking for 100% completion (mainly just besting the game to see the credits so I can see my name roll by!) so I'm not expecting it to take too long. After I've got Yooka done I'll probably get back to Hollow Knight or Octopath Traveller (tempted to start that one again as well).

Zero Time Dillema on Vita and Steredenn on Switch. They complement each other perfectly, and I'm really loving the latter. If anyone wants to compete for score on the leader boards let me know your friend code and I will add you!

Steredenn is quality. Haven't played it since I got the last of the achievements, but I might give it another whirl at some point.

Bought Journey Collectors Edition for £6.49. Will be playing this much talked about game this evening, see what all the fuss is about.

Still playing the cabaret club, so addictive, not had a proper chance to get into Majima construction yet though.

Still enjoying Yooka Laylee, just about to start the 3rd world. It's no Banjo but it's still pretty good.

I started The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth + on Switch last night. Dang, man, that start was creepy. The gameplay seems simple and neat although I suspect that there is way more to the mechanisms then I realise; I'm picking up bits without knowing how to use them. I've never really played a rogue-type game before and the randomIsed maps are intriguing. I guess that, rather like Souls, dying and learning is all part of the experience?

Journey

Only played it for about an hour. Haven't totally made my mind up about it as yet, but I like it so far.

TES V: Skyrim.

Started re-modding after my PC reset. Uninstalled Skyrim SE because there are so many conflicts and errors with modding. Sure I could find workarounds, but why bother with that headache when I've a fully functioning Skyrim original that I already know inside and out when it comes mods, fixes etc.

At work now, but will continue with the task later tonight.

Yep, you're gonna die a hell of a lot, all part of the gameplay loop.

Feel free to post your experiences in here btw - t:the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-ot-explosive-isaacrrhea?f=2

Thanks, Db, I'm gonna go back to it this evening to try and better understand how things work. I just took a look at that thread... magnificent! I wonder what this final expansion will offer? It sounds like it could be cool.

Just starting world 4 on Yooka Laylee, still liking it but the more I play it the more the camera does my head in

Edit, wow the 4th world really takes it down a notch in my opinion, only been in there about 15 mins but it's easily the worst world so far.

Edit 2, Galleon Galaxy is a load better thankfully, will have to find 18 pages in it to get to the 100 mark though, or go and get some ones I've missed from earlier levels/Hivory Towers.

Been playing Rondo of Blood again even though I played through Dracula X Chronicles not too recently. It just gets better every time I play it. And also I've realised just how garbage the new art style is in comparison to the original.

Also Dragon Quest VIII and Persona 5. Both are pretty dope. DQ VIII is my first proper DQ game - I've only ever played Swords on the Wii, and Rocket Slime on the DS and it's shaping up to be a very pleasant surprise. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how good it is though considering how highly this series is thought of in Japan.

Just about to give Captial B a go in Yooka Laylee. All in all I've enjoyed playing through Yooka Laylee, barring Capital Cushino of course which I really didn't get on with. Read that the last boss can be a bit of a annoyance though so no idea if I'll get it done first time or not.

Edit, not a hoping hells chance of that being done by me! First few stages are easy but once you get to the last stage where you need to use the awful flying mechanics to direct missiles into him I quickly ran out of stamina/power and fell to my death :( Given it a few goes to no avail but I'm going to call my time with Yooka Laylee at the moment, not going to spend time with a tedious last boss stage when I could enjoy something else!

Tekken tag tournament 2

Thought I’d give this a proper go. Having the time of my life with this shite god tier tutorial with this rubbish robot I’ve been given. I was hoping for something cool like The Terminator :|

As I type currently trying to fight my way past the land mines disguised as balloons just to slap some boss who keeps shooting me with her gun. Then I get some farmer chucking his cocaine fuelled chicken at me...

Tried practice mode earlier, don’t like the tag buttons as your partner takes their time (no rush like I can’t roll my eyes hard enough  ) to come into the screen.

My great grandma could get into the screen faster than these dossers & she’s dead.

I’ve had such a wonderful time playing Spiderman & now I’m playing this drivel. It’s going to be a fun few days.

Mario & Luigi PiT

Skimmed a guide and it seems I've not far from the end, I wasn't even rushing through it - just took my time and faced most if not all of enemies. It's definitely weakest M&L game (Dream Team being second) but the humour is still excellent and I had blast playing it in brusts.

But yeah, if you can just get original to play on DS/3DS, unless you don't want to pay lot for it. DS VC on Wii U is weird, imo

Started Octopath Traveller again earlier this evening, started with Therion this time. Just about done his opening chapter (I'll get it finished tonight) so I'll be starting to collect the other characters when I next get a chance. Starting it again just reminds me how lovely it looks and sounds.

Hopefully I'll play it more often than I did at my first attempt, by this I mean I hope won't get distracted by my other games and start playing those like I did last time. Only got another couple of games I'm eager to start/play more of anyway so fingers crossed it won't happen. It's still my plan to complete (or see as finished in my eyes) as many of my games as possible before Pokémon Let's Go comes out on November 16th.

Put everything else on hold to randomly play Aria of Sorrow again after it came up in conversation. Been on a bit of an unplanned Castlevania marathon recently with DXC, Sotn and Rondo. I was even rewatching the Castlevania series with a friend the other day.

At some point I thought I'd stop playing since I only planned on picking it up briefly and had already completed it, but in just a couple of sittings I'm nearly at the end of the regular route so I feel like I may as well continue. It is pretty fun and fast-paced, and it's cool observing the differences with Sotn which I completed only a couple of weeks back.

Will have to resist the urge to play Dawn of Sorrow again right after since I have a few other Castlevanias I haven't played or completed yet in mind, as well as the other stuff I'm currently playing.
