SANTA CLARA, Calif., (May 17, 2016) – BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. the premier publisher of anime videogames today announces DRAGON BALL® XENOVERSE 2, the most expansive Dragon Ball® videogame experience to-date. DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 is currently in development at famed Osaka, Japan based videogame developer DIMPS and will be available for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and STEAM® for PC. DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 is scheduled to launch in the Americas in 2016.

SSJ3 Player created characters

Bandai Namco has confirmed the release date for Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2. The multiplayer action game is set for an October 25 release on PS4 and Xbox One--it comes to PC on October 28. The publisher also announced that the upcoming game will feature Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki as both a musical contributor and non-playable character.

Aoki will remix some classic Dragon Ball Z songs, such as the original and second themes, "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" and "We Gotta Power." Additionally, you can find Aoki in the game's hub city, Conton, as an interactive character. Aoki says he "jumped at the chance to contribute [his] talents and leave [his] personal impact on the series" he grew up with.

Always wanted to play as a Namek who can transform into a giant? What do you mean no? Shut up.

If you've got Xenoverse 1 you can transfer over your character along with some of the skills/moves they have equipped at the time of transfer too. You won't play as them, but they will appear during the game as an NPC in some missions.

In fairness the game started development well before Dragonball Super even started airing.

The pre-order version is basically just a character model. It's the DLC version that will have actual content.

Yamcha is now available as a teacher. The first thing he teaches you is a technique called "Fake Death"

Yamcha was a teacher in the previous game too.

Well it's only Yamcha, it's easy to forget about him.
