PostNew laptop questions

So I've ordered a new laptop to replace my archaic desktop, and I have some questions:

Steam - will the games in my Steam library be available on my new laptop, or will I have to re-install them all? Mainly talking abut Football Manager here, don't want to lose my current save :dread:

iTunes - Is it as simple as transferring my existing songs over to the laptop and then installing iTunes on it? Or do I have to register the laptop as a new device etc?

Thought I had more questions but that's all I've got actually

Steam will just ask you to log in to the account, will send you an email to verify it's you and then you'll have to re-install your games to your laptop. Your saves for *some* games will be saved on the magical cloud place, but I can't remember how to check which games will save on to the cloud and which wont. If they don't upload automatically though, you can always just copy and paste them over via a USB or something.

Oh, change your view to List View and that'll tell you if it uploads to the cloud or not. FM14 does.

With iTunes you can just install it and then point it to wherever your music is stored, but if you want to retain all the correct metadata (playlists, play counts, ratings etc.) then I think you have to make a backup of the iTunes library file, and have things in the same directories maybe? Have a look on their help forums.

Similarly, if you have anything synced to it (iPod, iPhone, iPad, whatever) then that'll be a bit of a faff.

Football Manager (latest one at least) supports Steam Cloud. So on your old PC run FM and make sure it is syncing your saved games to Steam Cloud then when you install it on your new PC you should just be able to pick up where you left off.
