Gameplay designer at BioWare on the next Mass Effect game (around 4 mins ago)

I really hope Bioware don't mess this up. There's still such an awesome universe of characters and settings for them to choose from. Mass Effect 3 felt rushed, I hope EA is giving them a decent amount of dev time on this to really refresh the series. For starters see a greater emphasis on RPG stuff, maybe let us play as a non human character during the story for the first time. Big decision is what time frame they'll set this during. No doubt we'll be leaving Shepard and company behind. I'd rather see things set in the future rather than a prequel (prequel stuff as DLC rather than the next main game if need be). Far enough forward for civilisation to have moved on and recovered from the Reaper threat (depending on which canon ending they go for).

It's unlikely but will the Leviathan have any part to play in this judging by what they said during the ME3 DLC?

I wouldnt mind a proper story driven rpg/fps.

Loads of scope - Turian perspective on first contact war, Batarian POV on slaving and operating outside of council space, Omega mercanary etc

Why Mass Effect? Why not a new IP or Jade Empire 2?

I must try to play through the Mass Effect games again. I tried the 1st one, but gave up after about 2 hours. The shooting was terrible.
