I downloaded ME1 last week thanks to EA Access and I was amazed how well it holds up visually.

Just compare the fantastic human character design and animation in something like Horizon Zero Dawn - I was gobsmacked by how good they are. I'll set aside all other considerations and allegations against Bioware and just say it's a simple lack of artistic talent. They just didn't have anyone even as remotely as good as Guerrilla Game's artists. If that's the case then the fault lies with ME Andromeda's Artistic Director, but I still don't understand how nobody saw this during development. How does that happen?

Apparently it was done deliberately. At least that's a conspiracy going back to February. Maybe that's what borked the facial animations that some people have a problem with.

It isnt the same studio. Andromeda is made by Bioware Montreal (who have never released a game before) and the original trilogy is by Bioware Edmonton.

I know the whole gun this g being backwards is being funny, but in one of the.previous games, for some an entire ship was facing backwards and firing, so a gun is less of a thing.

The nose in the character model looks much bigger then that of the model Jayde Rossi. Is it possible that a decision was made to make her look less sexy because of gender politics - i.e. a female lead's personality should be the draw to gamers - not her looks?

Do we know what the Bioware A-team is working on? I'm hoping a new Star Wars RPG.

It's definitely what the internet seem to be thinking at the moment. It is a bit weird paying for a face actor and then not having the actual character even look like her. It's not the same situation with BroRyder at all. He looks identical. Same with Shep and Kaidan in the original games...

EDIT: Also, I'm playing this super slowly so I've just got to the new-Citadel thing. Addison is an absolute weapon. I hope I get the option of killing her at some point. Dreadful writing. I'm sure she's not meant to be that instantly detestable.

Completed my first Remnant Vault and I'm enjoying it. No bugs or glitches so far.

I don't know why people are complaining about the female Ryder preset. It is the one face in the game you can alter to your heart's content. Unfortunately, even in that case you are limited by what the game itself is capable of generating.

IMO, it doesn't look that bad when it is not being distorted by the terrible facial animations.

How have they managed to make even the planet-hopping on the galaxy map time consuming and tedious? If you *need* to visit every planet in a cluster to explore and mine for minerals, etc, who thought it was a good idea for a stupid cutscene of space every time you move from one planet to another? :dread:

Genuinely tempted to stop playing until they patch in the ability to skip it. Absolute morons.

Shopto delivered the goods today, yus.

Really handy playing some from EA Access, disc in and continued to where I got to. Established first outpost, really enjoying so far.

Time to try multiplayer, cant remember how 3's was tbh.

Why are the enemies so bullet-spongey in this? It's not good combat if you're literally just there in cover headshotting a guy nine times before he goes down.

Tried the multiplayer, too. Awful. It defaults to the mode that's "recommended for lvl 10 and above" despite it being the first time any of us have touched it, so we're all level 1. Spent less time alive than it spent loading the mission. I've got no idea why they even bother :fp: Horde modes are the dullest new "feature" ever.

Tried to hit on Cora and she shot me straight down :(

My first quick match it asked me what level bronze, silver or gold I wanted to search for, bronze naturally since level 1.

Got to about wave 6 before everyone died proper. Was good fun and a proper challenge, seems like loads to unlock. Can see me playing the MP a fair bit.

Did you have a full squad? Never been interested in playing with randomers (especially in what's in essence a co-op mode) so I started a game with my brother and we both got absolutely obliterated. Wonder if they actually scale the amount of enemies depending on how many are playing or if they've even been lazy there. It's not good combat, so an entire mode around it is a disaster before it's even got anywhere.

Yup thats Shepard and the tidy side piece :slol: Still funny anyway.

Id like some ridiculous glitches (non game breaking) only had fat alien dog things float in the air and start twitching.

Need binoculars to read the mission objectives bloody hell. Take it no way to increase text size?

Ah I thought maybe it was an npc, I blame giphy. I love glitches. Except when I've paid for the game.
