Well I've just landed on the planet and so far zero glitches. Feels great to be back in the Mass Effect universe :datass:

Just reading that apparently this is made by Bioware Montreal. A studio formed primarily of contractors that has never actually released a game before. That explains it.

Enjoyable opening couple of hours, got up to where you first talk to your dad on the planet. Other than the occasional stutter in cutscenes no glitches so far. Like the jetpack mechanic for getting around. Can't mod my guns yet which will hopefully change soon.I like the sound of turrets so putting most of my points into combat & tech.

Some of these clips are hysterical; it's hard to believe that a AAA developer is pulling this kind of gooseberry fool in 2017.

I will be really disappointed if this game is not up to par. Bioware spent something like five years developing this so it would seriously damage my estimation of them if they fall flat here.

Played opening 45 mins, strange lip syncing and faces seem good.

Pretty game, loving being back in ME universe :datass:

I've actually played the game an the animations and lip synch 'so far' are fine, I think this may be one of those internet things that get overblown x10.

One thing that kind of bothered me that had been complained about was the whole 'Humans meet new race and shoot at them rather than greet them' complaint. When I came across the Kettwigs after crash landing for the first time, it was them who fired upon me first and I chose the friendly hands up approach beforehand. As for bugs so far I've had a team mates gun vanish from their hands and during a cutscene the framerate dropped to 1fps :dread: which a quick hit the Windows key and re-open ME solved that and was back to normal.

I've cancelled my preorder because, having quit the game last time upon reaching the... whatever the new Citadel is called now, my save loads me in on the little shuttle that takes you from your ship to the arrivals lounge, with the door closed and no way to open it.

That'll probably be as far as you can actually go, no?

No you should be able to play past the arrival at the Nexus and explore the first world (not the prologue world you crash on at the start)

I've just arrived there and left it for the night so hopefully I don't run in to the same problem. Though I have been toying with the idea at starting afresh when I unlock the full game.

It happens 100% of the time if you quit after taking the shuttle ride, but the game keeps multiple saves so I was able to go back 2 minutes and load from when we docked.

I'm not saying I won't buy the game, but rather that I'm going to wait for the reviews now instead.

2 and half hours in so far, great stuff.

- Character creation seems pretty varied, tatoo down middle of my face.
- Combat feels a lot more fluid and faster. Various boosts along with biotic powers are fun i.e flamethrower from the hand 8-)
- Can look stunning, dodgy textures up close though
- Interesting story set up so far, met most of old races already.
- The squatting while walking away in cutscenes a couple of female characters do is hilarious/ridiculous
