I forgot to cancel my order from Amazon. I was planning on playing Horizon Zero Dawn but Mass Effect Andromeda is whispering to me!

Struggling to see the big problem with this .

Wonky facial animation aside, it's more Mass Effect.

Love the MP too

Is the music more like ME1? It had a special main menu theme, hell a certain feel throughout, that felt way more sci-fi than what followed.

Anyone had any problems in this with regarding finishing a multiplayer match and then just losing connection to the server at the end of the game and not getting any experience/ credits etc from the game??

Ive had a go at MP.

Its a lot looser than ME3, in that the controls are not as precise. Cover isnt snapped to or from, it just seems abit more random if your in it or not. And peeking around corners isnt automatic, you seem to have to manually click the stick to change look direction. Theyve also removed warp which is bad. Powers in general seem to not have many visual clues indicating if theyve worked or missed. And Ive had a good few games with very bad slow down.

On initial testing, the MP is not as good as ME3 MP.

This is disappointing to hear. I loved ME3 MP despite its piss poor connection issues on PS3

Its still early. Ive only had about 5 goes of MP. And at the moment Im still used to gears of war 4 horde which feels so much more polished - And thats saying something.

Does it still have the random pack unlock system? And character class / pre defined skill sets?

Yes random pack unlocks. and yes charcter class predefined skills. Not much has changed, except its now in a higher resolution, and youre back to square one to open up all the weapons/characters etc.

Multiplayer wise it's largely identical to ME3. I don't know about anyone else but I'm going to focus on campaign for now, multiplayer is great fun but the amount of disconnects, boots to dashboard, lag etc I'm having means it's hardly worth playing at the minute. Hopefully the servers and such like will stabilise.

This just feels so bland. I'm about eight hours in, asides from my ryder having no emotions, I'm not too fussed by the character animations. The general bugginess of the game is grinding my gears a lot now, had people pop in/pop out, been shot by someone who hasn't formed yet, been shooting people who suddenly become unshootable and walk away!

I loved the first and second games as well, everything about this just feels rushed out without purpose, I have no interest in the story or the characters so far even the voice acting seems dry

Yeah, I'd agree with that. The open world stuff is stripped straight out of DA: inquisition, the EOS map is very familiar.

Just a bit dull.

It's nowhere near as good as any of the Mass Effect 1 music (dat map screen tune :datass: ). It's mostly forgettable.

Really weird how the whole game manages to be worse than everything that came before it. It's playable but it's nothing to really write home about.

Was roaming the Tempest after doing the first Vault on Eos and got chatting to PeeBee, and she's saying what she thinks of certain squadmates before they've even joined the team :| You kind of think stuff like that shouldn't happen in such a major release.

I really want to enjoy this, I even booked Thursday off work to play this and bought a second copy when my shopto copy didn't arrive on time. I'm just so disappointed with it all, like Jeff said on the bombcast it feels like it was rushed out at the end of the quarter to make the yearlys look good

Spoilers abound from start to finish.

How did they strawberry float up this game so much? Those facial expressions are incredible.

strawberry floating died at that bit  "just..DOOOO IT!!". The last minute or so when "only human" kicks in was incredible. And that final shot of the bioware logo with all the other devs EA killed...strawberry floating brutal

It's a pretty damning video - but I guess worth noting that it's unlikely (perhaps?) that no single person is going to encounter all that bugginess in their playthrough.

This.

The Krogan fidgeting was the only other thing I've seen so far from that vid in my game apart from PeeBee's backward pistol.
