The episode descriptions were always gold as well.

The crew helps Data investigate when his dream program begins suddenly generating nightmares. Meanwhile, Picard attempts to avoid attending a boring Starfleet banquet.

I liked Pulaski because she did not give a gooseberry fool about Data's sapience whatsoever and would basically think it weird Geordi was his best friend. She treated him like absolute gooseberry fool sometimes.

Reminds me of the episode where some dick wanted to take Data apart and when Data refused the guy said Data had no rights and was just a machine that Starfleet owned and decided to take it to court. Was ridiculous that they made Riker have to argue that Data wasn't alive, and do a good job of it, or he'd be court martialled :fp:

Made no sense either since surely this question would've been answered when Data was first found or when he applied to join Starfleet.

I thought it was total gooseberry fool and I wasn't even that harsh on the last one...

Maybe it'll be more enjoyable for people who get that one of the worst single episode acting performances in tv history is apparently fanservice or something

Hearing the word "strawberry floating" in Star Trek just seems so wrong.

Also, it keeps bothering me that the logo on their uniforms and displays is completely wrong.

Some of the comm badges (including Michael's) look like they have a simplified Zerg logo on them. Which is odd.

Another bag of gooseberry fool, saved only by the first seemingly likeable character of the entire series making an appearance. Thank strawberry float the captain got him back safely to the ship. Now give him proper airtime and let's see how this develops.

I liked it. Feels like it is setting up some stuff for late season.

Definitely better the previous one.

Thing is, at this point every single ship had it's own insignia. The insignia they're using was in use only by the Enterprise at the time, yet Discovery is applying it to the entirety of Starfleet, something that only happened after TOS but before Star Trek The Motion Picture.

Didn't that get written out of canon a long time ago?

Also, swearing? In MY Star Trek?

Thought that episode was good. Not sure who Irene is referring to. This looks absolutely fantastic too.

I think it is an interesting idea but it makes me wonder what they'll do to get rid of it. Or should I say, what will happen in order for them to make that decision.

Klingons are still totally gooseberry fool though. I appauld them for attempting to do something different, but it isn't really working so far.

Given that it needs a living being to be painfully plugged in for it to function, plus the risk that using it will turn every living being on the ship inside out, I imagine it'd basically be declared too dangerous/unstable/unethical to use and all material related to it is classified and archived away to be forgotten about.
