Anyone be the annual hero and pull up last years? Edit, nvm it's here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=44252&p=4909813&hilit=New+year#p4909813

Managed about half

Simple one this year, to go out and socialise more in person. Become quite lazy with existing friends and playing online.

I suppose also continue with exercising 6 days a week whether that be yoga, cycling or lifting. Hope my dog survives well for the year with her strawberry floated legs. Plan out the 2024 wedding with minor stress. Keep this job I like.

Well I didn’t lose the weight (but didn’t gain any either), didn’t try yoga or something to try and help me calm down and de-stress, I didn’t even attempt applying for any jobs or put myself out there on any of the dating apps. Colossal failure on my behalf then! :fp:

So New Year diet is going well, already lost a few pounds. No booze so far and plan to keep that going until the end of Jan and maybe end of Feb. Also aiming to exercise 4 times a week and do yoga twice. Few other smaller goals too like drink 2 litres of water a day and limit myself to 2 cups of coffee.

Also, there's 100kcal in a tablespoon of mayonnaise, excuse me but what the strawberry float? They really should put that on the packaging. No mayo for me for awhile then.

Mayo is eggs and oil, what did you expect?

All going well so far, lost a few pounds.

Yeh I was 14.5 stone before Christmas, down to just below 14 st now, hoping to get to 12 but I'd be delighted with 12.5.

Thanks but I think it's mainly because I was ill for 2 weeks and had no booze :slol:

I'm doing dry January though so hoping for some more pounds off

My brother tried to do dry January last year. His birthday is the 7th Jan. Needless to say he failed spectacularly by having a 3 day binge  no idea if he's trying again this year.

Nothing concrete, but I enjoyed the bit of travelling I did last year down to London and Manchester, so want to do more of that this year.
Of course... can't really do that if I'm still struggling with breathing difficulties and chest pain of which I have no clue what the cause would be.

I also suppose I want to continue growing DarkRula Media to finally get more exposure for people to find my articles and other stuff.

Nice work Tom!

That said, not being a drinker in the first place is annoying when weight loss discussion comes around - everyone is always like "I stopped drinking and the weight just fell off me". I don't drink in the first place, what the hell am I supposed to do? Exercise and eat right?!!?! FFS

Thanks

The answer is clear: start drinking for awhile so you can give it up

Because I'm not running at the moment, I'm desperately trying to eat healthy as I can so I don't become fat!!!

It was easy when I was running as I didn't have to think about what I was eating.

I need to get back into running but I've got a persistent knee issue that just makes it hard to get any consistent routine going, which is bloody annoying

Most of my aches and pains are better after a few drinks. Just run around hammered.

Finally feeling better, so I'm ready to start running again... except the weather is appalling at the moment. I go out at 6am so not only is it dark, it's windy and the country lanes are pretty dangerous like that. Next week maybe then ffs.

Clocked my reflection in the office door yesterday and I looked so bloated, really put me in a downer for the rest of the day.

My only real resolution, if you can call it that, is to shave (my face) every day, but that's mostly because I'm aiming to get into face-to-face sales this year.

Thing is, I really enjoy exercise but I don't have time any more. Will need to be super organised to get it sorted.

Update: started exercising just after Christmas (mostly jogging). 4kg down (and a long way to go).

Not getting the sleep I would like (5hrs average each night!). Will try to sort that as well.

This month: carrying on with the jogging. Aiming for the same loss again.
