How often do you get a new phone? Almost every phone has a standardised port now, most phones now all use usb-c

It's actually voluntary, but pushed for by the EU. It's a good success story for where legislation wasn't needed to influence industry from my knowledge

I don't get them very often, but my last three phones have all had different size charging ports.
