Is there any reason not to switch on my Vita while it's charging for the first time?

No. It should come partially charged anyway to preserve the battery. Mine did.

Thanks. I couldn't remember why I decided to set up the Wii U while charging the GamePad for the first time so I thought that I'd ask here first.

Has anyone commented on the awesomeness of DAT OLED? :datass:

I've just finished the set up process and my Vita looks quite bare so I'm going to navigate the SEN store on my PC to work out what I want to play first.

Despite the janky framerate and dodgy AI, dead nation is much better as a portable game than on the home consoles.

Anyone know how the Ratchet and Clank Trilogy holds up on Vita?

They run well enough, the only issue is that strafing is on the back touch pad and can't be changed.

The controls aren't as good (although I think they made the game a little easier to compensate) and obviously no split screen, but a fairly decent shooter on the Vita.

Yes?

So Little Big Planet on Vita is way better than I thought it was going to be. Shame I really hate the floaty feel of the game, I'll try and get used to it.

Do you think so? I thought the PSP one was way better than this dull monotonous and fairly unoriginal version. Agree with you on the floaty feel.

Seems Skull Girls is coming to Vita and PS4. Surprisingly good indie fighter, well worth a look

I just finished Uncharted which was a great game and and impressive showcase for the device. Is there any way to see my play time on the Vita? Also, is it possible to turn off the blue light of the PlayStation logo?

Never played the PSP version. I'm quite enjoying the Vita version, although it is a bit brown and drab. Maybe the later worlds get a bit more vibrant. It's not a patch on Tearaway, but little is.

Final fantasy x and x2 and football manager worth picking up?

There isn't a play time log like on the 3DS, though in some games it tells you how long you've been playing for, displayed when you save the game for example. And unfortunately there isn't a way to turn the blue light off, AFAIK.

If you don't have another portable version of Football Manager, yes, definitely worth picking up. Final Fantasy X/X-2 is a great port but it is the starting point when the series goes downhill IMO. Have you played it before?

That's a shame. Thanks for the reply.

I played Soul Sacrifice this morning but it got quite repetitive so I'm going to try Gravity Rush next.
