Just got this, the free poster is amazing

EDIT: In fact it easily makes up for the gooseberry fool cover.

Looks like HoC was right about (even underestimated) Fuel, Maramasa score is disappointingly low and I might have to buy Zeno Clash.

EDIT - And I still say the cover is very good.

Good scores for inFAMOUS and Ghostbusters. I don't know what to believe about Fuel. May rent it and judge for myself.

I'm more interested in what this means for Fifa 2010. The cover is nice and impartial (I kid, I kid), but I remember reading that Edge never cover yearly sports updates. Have they changed this to try and go a bit more mainstream, have EA asked them to cover it, or is there something so special about this year's update that Edge feel they need to cover it?

Thats not what the word 'covered' means.

True dat.

I agree with the big H and made the same 'mistake' reading HoC's post.

Quite how the aftermath was caused i have no idea.

My thoughts exactly. They have always seemed to act as though they are above these yearly football updates. But now it's a cover game :| I'll have a read if my copy is there tonight but I am not expecting anything too ground braking.

Agreed. I've always been a good fan of Pixel art, and while I'm not going to hang it anywhere on my wall it certainly is nice to look at. Elsewhere, looks like a good issue, and I'm particularly looking forward to reading the (pretty large) FIFA article.

Alas I'm still in the process of reading Issue 201 as I went a spell of about 3 months without reading an issue due to deadlines I've had recently so it'll have to wait for a bit.

Maybe it's because these footy games have actually started to be really good. Especially FIFA, as that has come on leaps and bounds this gen, leaving PES way behind. Hell, I don't nowmally like footy games, but I loved FIFA 09. Mainly for the Be A Pro mode, which is how I always envisioned a footy game should be.

Taking the word 'cover' to mean what it actually means.

Its not that they've never covered them, as I showed, just that they haven't done so in a while.

Fifa 10 getting a big feature (and the cover) is no doubt down to how EA have turned it round in the past couple of years (as it actually says on the cover), rather than anything either sinister going on or anything completely new about 10. As such it really should be an interesting read (even if I don't quite agree with it) and worthy of a feature in Edge.

Its not like I said you were wrong about it, just that I'd need a good Edge score to convince me.

Its also not like you've never been right before....is it?

Oh, I'm sure some would say I've been right before. It's just rare that you'd say so. (But Raze is right - it wasn't aimed at you.)
