I really enjoyed it, both the defences were fantastic. Ware and Miller were absolute beasts, poor Cam didn't stand a chance with them coming at him time and again. It is a shame as I love watching Cam play with a smile on his face, but you have to hand it to the Broncos defence they were immense and totally deserved the win. Sure Manning didn't do anything, but this is the perfect time for him to call it a day and walk off with a Superbowl gift from his defence

I actually really enjoyed the game. That Denver defence is beast. They hunted down Cam anytime he had the ball and just tea-bagged the life out him.

Feeling the pain today though. So sleepy.

Loved the "we don't do fake tweets" jibe at Sky Sports' expense on the BBC last night.

Sky News wrote:Politicians Call For NFL To Switch Out Redskins

Two Labour Party MPs object to a perceived "racial slur" in the team's name ahead of a game at Wembley Stadium in October.

Two British politicians have written to the NFL calling on it to stop the Washington Redskins from playing in London later this year because of concerns about the team's name.

Labour Party MPs Ruth Smeeth and Ian Austin wrote in a letter that the NFL "should consider changing the name of the Washington franchise or, at a minimum, send a different team to our country to represent the sport, one that does not promote a racial slur".

The Redskins are set to face the Cincinnati Bengals on 30 October at Wembley Stadium as part of the NFL's International Series.

But the letter says there is "deliberate insensitivity and apparent hostility to a prominent minority group" by using the name.

It adds that the "exportation of this racial slur ... directly contravenes the values that many in Britain have worked so hard to instil".

Native Americans, along with other groups in the US, have called for the team to replace its name.

But the team has maintained it is meant to honour Native Americans, and Redskins owner Dan Snyder has said he will never change the nickname.

Brian McCarthy, a spokesman for the NFL, said: "A team's name is a club decision.

"We recognise there are strong views on both sides of this."

The comments underneath the article are hilarious.

To be honest I don't really have one. I've never considered its connotations either way. I guess it depends on what the general feeling is in America, and among fans. Is it eliciting the same response as, say, the confederate flag? I don't think it's up to our politicians though to start lecturing the NFL on what it should do.

What about the Minnesota Vikings, that's offensive to Scandinavians

On the Redskins though, it's the NFL's call not our politicians.

How? Is Viking used as a slur against Scandinavians?

An average of 903,000 watched the Superbowl this year in the UK, 122,000 of those on Sky Sports 1.

865,000 turned in to the First Half on BBC2. 589,000 continued for the Half Time Show with Coldplay. And then everyone went to bed.

Some good news for us, if a little unorthodox.

BBC News wrote:Twitter has agreed a deal to broadcast Thursday night NFL games online across the world for free.

Twitter was bidding against a number of companies, including Verizon, Yahoo and Amazon, to win the rights. Facebook dropped out of the bidding last week.

"Twitter is where live events unfold and is the right partner for the NFL," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

The NFL signed a multi-year partnership with Twitter last year to deliver daily video and other content to fans.

Television viewers will still be able to watch live games and highlights packages under existing partnerships with traditional broadcasters.

In the UK, the NFL signed a five-year deal with Sky last year, while the BBC has a two-year deal to show international series games in London and the Super Bowl, as well as a weekly highlights show and digital clips.

As part of the the NFL's new agreement with Twitter, the social media platform will stream live video of 10 Thursday games to its 800 million users.

The deal also includes in-game highlights and pre-game Periscope broadcasts from players and teams.

"There is a massive amount of NFL-related conversation happening on Twitter during our games," said Goodell.

"People watch NFL games with Twitter today," said Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. "Now they'll be able to watch right on Twitter Thursday nights."

Last season, the NFL carried out a live streaming trial of a regular-season NFL game with Yahoo.

The Twitter Games

Jets at Bills, Sept 15
Texans at Patriots, Sept 22
Cardinals at 49ers, Oct 6
Broncos at Chargers, Oct 13
Bears at Packers, Oct 20
Saints at Panthers, Nov 17
Cowboys at Vikings, Dec 1
Raiders at Chiefs, Dec 8
Rams at Seahawks, Dec 15
Giants at Eagles, Dec 22

Crazy trades before the draft has even begun,
The Titans trade the Number 1 pick for a crazy amount of picks, and then the Browns trade their number 2 pick for loads as well. Looks like the Factory of Sadness is going to have RGIII under center in 2016, and I guess they are going to be rebuilding the whole roster with all these picks. That said I would not be surprised if they have a top 5 pick again in 2017.

I can understand the Rams going for broke in taking the number 1 pick, even at the cost, but the Eagles paying so much for the number 2 pick seems mental. I know nothing about college football, so I have no idea if either of the top 2 QBs are any good. I do not think all the 1st round trades are done yet, but I bet these will wait till the actual day of the draft

Its especially crazy as there doesnt seem to be any buzz around players coming out of college, a couple of years ago there was Andrew Luck and RGIII so when a big trade happened noone was that surprised. This year though I havent heard anything like the hype around anyone in college, nevermind the QBs so the fact theres been 2 trades at the top of the draft seems extra nuts. I cant see this ending well for LA (feels so weird to type that in an NFL discussion) or Philly, it does make the draft a little bit more interesting though.

so the first round of the draft happened last night. it was a night of drama, with the "best player in the draft" sliding all the way down to number 13 because a video of him taking weed with a gas mask on was uploaded to his twitter account just before the draft begun.

Wait, a player partook of a legal (in some state) substance? The bastard, hell never play for us, get me Greg Hardy on the phone!

I find it so hard to get hyped for the draft for this very reason, I remember Tyrian Mathieu had similar "character flaws" but hes pretty much been a model professional and a hell of a good player since he was drafted. Johnny Manziel on the other hand had would not be a problem, he liked to party, he doesnt have an issue and he was lauded as a great pick, and were seeing how thats working out. Im intrigued to see who my team picks but I dont really give a toss about the process as a whole.
