Well seeing as the preseason is now underway (or at least it was supposed to be :fp:), its time to fire up the new thread.

Whos taking Lombardi home this year? I always like the Pats chances, I dont think the loss of Brady for 4 games at the start of the season will have a huge impact, the division is still weak overall so theyll make the playoffs as a division winner. If they can also grab the top seed, not impossible in the AFC and make the playoffs go through Foxboro then theres a great chance well see Roger having to say nice things about the Pats in February.

Outside of rooting for my own team Im interested to see what Chip does in San Fran and if the Panthers can bounce back and still be a dominant team like they were last year. Im also looking forward to watching the Cowboys struggle to their 8-8 record and the Browns go into meltdown by week 3, some things should never change. ;)

8th September with a Superbowl rematch, great way to kick off the season!

Americans really go nuts with stadium design these days, the Vikings building looks nothing like you would expect a stadium would, want to see how that roof handles 10 feet of snow though. :shifty:

What's the best way of keeping up to date with this, for someone who doesn't have Sky/BT (no idea if it's actually on BT or not...). I always watch the Superbowl, but find it near impossible to keep track of the regular season. :(

Absolutely, use the elements to your advantage, as cool as the glass effigy looks it does rob us of games being played in snowstorms which is inexcusable.

If youre willing to spend money then NFL.com offers a gamepass where you can watch every game live (except the ones Sky show, theyre blacked out) and on demand along with Redzone and NFL Network. I used it for a couple of years myself, its pretty great but my internet connection now is spotty at best so I stick to Redzone on Sky.

If youre a filthy robbing criminal then I assume the usual suspects have pirated streams every week as well.

Does Gamepass give you access to the blacked-out games after the fact?

And is it likely I can navigate to a past game without having the result spoiled?

I've had difficulty following NFL seasons in the past due to the time difference, and if I could watch the games the next day at my leisure, I'd buy it right away.

Yet again I am placing all my worldy possessions on a Superbowl win for the mighty Tennessee Titans.

PickTV will air 3 games on a Sunday of their choosing, and the BBC show the 3 London games. The Road To The Superbowl highlights show begins from I think November onwards on BBC2/iPlayer.

Yup, blacked out games are available on demand, Im not sure if theyre available after 24 hours or right after the game ends or what but it wont be more then 24 hours anyway. Theres also an option to hide scores so it wont spoil any result for you if you dont want it to.

Thanks chaps. If I'm looking at the right thing and the gamepass is £140, I'll probably give it a miss - not sure I'd get my money's worth. Sounds like the BBC highlights show and Wembley matches might be the way to go.

I won a holiday 4 days in New York :toot:
The week before the NFL season kicks off :fp:
Would have been the Jets Vs Bengals as well :x

Oh well I guess I could watch a baseball game
(Baseball is rubbish)

Still though woo Jets, no idea how they will do this year, last year they had a really easy schedule and fluffed the playoffs, this year they might be a bit better, but it is a hella tough schedule (and the Browns)

Are some games definitely going to be blacked out on Gamepass?

They're selling it as you getting every single game live.

I think it's now going to be airing every week for free (to Sky subscribers) on Sky Sports Mix.

They have been for the last couple of years. Some countries do get every game live as they have no TV blackout deal signed, this used to be the case in Ireland but when Sky re did their deal they got the games blacked out. I would be surprised if they have changed this stance but Redzone is not blocked so even if the game you want to see is blacked out youll get to see some of it with Redzone.

If someone wants to run one Ill partake. Ill be firing up last man standing in time for the start of the new season too.

And in NFL news, the patriots traded their starting center to the Redskins because he had a fight in training, he then immediately contemplates retirement instead of joining the Redskins.

Yeah, I noticed in the last section of the terms and conditions it said about some matches mightn't be able to be viewed if they were cancelled, rescheduled, there was an outage with their service, or some broadcasting contract prevented it. Signed up last night anyway, and I can watch blacked-out matches on Sky.

I hope the playoffs and superbowl aren't on the blackout, though. That'd be really shitty.

Getting caught up with the preseason Seahawks games with the excellent condensed format. Marshawn Lynch is clearly missed as a solid option for moving a guaranteed 3 yards forward to get a 1st Down. The really struggled to get points against the Chiefs. But dat ending. Out of nowhere.
