I am really not used to seeing a good Eagles defense. Wentz playing well again but he is getting a lot of protection.

Saints 0-3.

I think their defensive is letting them and Brees down at the moment. :fp:

Really been enjoying the BBC's coverage of the season so far. Without a team to support though or any context as to rivalries, past great teams, perpetual failures etc, I find it difficult to give a gooseberry fool about the outcome of any games. Is there a good place to read up on this? And I don't mean the NFL wikipedia page...

Close game between the Colts and the Jags. The Jags held on though.

New Orleans won? :o 35-34!

The last time I saw 21-31 with ten minutes to go so I thought no chance, but the Saints fought it back. :D

Antonio Cromartie, Indianapolis Colts cornerback, refused to stand for the National Anthem on Sunday, taking a knee instead. And on Tuesday, the Colts player was officially released from the NFL team.

While in London playing on Sunday, Cromartie took a knee while raising a black-power fist while the Star Spangled Banner played. The NFL cornerback then rose to his feet as England played their national anthem, ‘God Save the Queen’.

In interview with the Indianapolis Star, Cromartie explained his reasoning for not standing: “Everyone wants to say all lives matter, but until black lives start to matter, all lives don’t matter. That’s what people need to start looking at. When you take a knee, you’re talking about everything that goes on in this country.”

Theres been a few cases of this in other sports, even ones where owners or managers straight up said that players are not allowed to kneel or sit during the anthem, Im sure the Colts wont be dumb enough to say that was the reason they released him but it really is awful to see teams stifling free speech and freedom of protest like this. Even if it is proving the point of those protesting in the most perfect way possible.

Interesting, article also says that there could be four games in London next year. I do wonder what with the new Tottenham stadium deal of we are going to get eight games a season in London or at least Europe eventually. Ensuring that there is one game on every other week that the European audience can watch at a reasonable time.

Two massive games for the Vikes coming up - Chicago tomorrow and Detroit on Sunday. Win them both and the division looks very, very good for them.

If they start having games in Mexico or elsewhere too, in addition to 1 or 2 extra London games, I wonder how American fans are going to feel losing all this stuff. It's not like they have many Home games as it is.
