Context, KK, give me context dammit!

Those figures look pretty low to me, but are they?

BBC is doing well, especially when you factor in iPlayer (about a million); Sky's rating are appalling but in line with where they were at for the same period last season, maybe a little less; RedZone is up by a substantial amount year-on-year (between double and triple what it was September-October last season).

Ratings are down for everything on Sky Sports though, which would indicate people are just cancelling.

I enjoy watching RedZone a hell of a lot more than just the one game. All action, no adverts, and no overbearing presenters/pundits.

Thanks KK, looks like Sky is dying on its arse a bit in general, quite amusing to see.

Massive leap in viewers for The NFL Show last night on BBC1 (816,000 with 11.6% share of the audience). It's like not Match of the Day did anything particularly special either (3,410,000).

The presentation style and BANTER between THE LADS is so much better and more relaxed on the BBC compared to Sky though. Generally it's rather unusual for Sky to be so stuffy; Neil Reynolds in particular is stiff as a board.

The BBC NFL show is great fun. I'd like it to be longer and have more in depth highlights but go hum.

Neil Reynolds legitimately stops me from watching Sky's NFL coverage. He's disgracefully shite.

Watching NFL RedZone.

Matt Ryan threw a nice ball (40yds) to the touchdown.

Jets 14-0 Patriots.

Vikings 7-0 Packers. Rodgers return is questionable with a shoulder injury.

Aaron Rodgers has a broken collarbone and he’s most likely to be out of the season.

Saints 52-38 Lions. What a game and we'll be playing against the Packers next week. It should be a good game.

Well this is a huge shock:

BBC News wrote:Former basketball coach and long-time Sky Sports NFL presenter Kevin Cadle has died at the age of 62.

New York-born Cadle won 27 major titles and eight Coach of the Year awards from 1984-97 with teams including Glasgow, Kingston, Guildford and London Towers.

He also had stints as coach of Scotland, England and Great Britain during the 1992 Olympic qualifiers.

"British Basketball has lost a true legend in Kevin Cadle," the British Basketball League said on Twitter.

In a 14-year career as a head basketball coach, Cadle recorded a British record 397 victories and his 80% win record remains the best in BBL history.

He took Kingston into the final eight of the European Champions Cup in 1991 in a campaign that featured wins over continental giants CSKA Moscow, Limoges, Aris Thessaloniki and Scavolini Pesaro.

His highlight as an international coach came in November 1992, when he took the England team to a shock win over Russia in a European qualifying game in Manchester.

A statement from NFL UK said that the organisation were planning to remember Cadle during the match between Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams in London this weekend.

"We can confirm there will be a tribute to Kevin Cadle at Twickenham this Sunday," NFL UK said. "It will be an opportunity for us all to show our love for the big man."

Cadle joined the Sky Sports team as an NBA and NFL Europe presenter, before moving onto the NFL in 1998.

Sky replaced him in recent years with Dara Kennedy and then Neil Reynolds, and sent him to report from the pub instead!

Disappointing that Rams vs Cardinals isn't on the BBC this weekend. I thought they all were except for one, and I thought the whole point of having games over here was to increase the sport's appeal and recognition; not sure how restricting coverage to the pathetic audience on Sky does that.

Yeah I thought the same. So far, they’ve showed Saints vs Dolphins on BBC Two which attracted a good amount of people to watch it if I remember it correctly.

It'll be on Yahoo platforms again. I used the Project Red app last time and the picture/frame rate was excellent. The subtitles which couldn't be turned off however were annoying.

So I was wrong and the NFL game at Twickenham is actually exclusive to Sky Sports Action after all. Not airing on Yahoo, Pick or Mix, though I’m sure it’ll feature on RedZone from 6pm. Even BT customers can’t watch it because it’s not simulcasting on The Main Event.

Growing the game, indeed. The ratings for this are going to be absolutely pathetic. :fp:

The RedZone is bloody great. The Premiership should have one for the 3pm kick off and show all goals, send offs and etc.

Go Saints!

Saints look good this year, especially with Carolina and Atlanta faltering. No idea what happened to Carolina today, must have had a shocker.
