It's such an odd (and classic 'Murica!) thing to expect, nay DEMAND that professional athletes stand and sing the national anthem before games. Can you imagine if we had Premier League teams being forced to do that before every game? It'd never happen, but I guess that's because the majority of players aren't from the UK and so have no allegiance to Blighty.

Daily pledge of allegiance, reverence to the flag, cult-like devotion to political parties, pictures of their dear leader in all government buildings. Americans are just so weird.

BBC1 The NFL Show

2nd December: 657,000 (10% of the TV audience)
9th December: 736,000 (12%)
16th December: 709,000 (10.7%)
23rd December: 609,000 (9.8%)
30th December: 535,000 (7.5%)

No exact iPlayer figures, but combined it's well in excess of a million. It's more popular than any Live game on the BBC or Sky Sports outside of the Superbowl.

It's so much easier to dedicate an hour or 2 to watching the NFL highlights rather than the 3 hours required for each game, though I still think the NFL or Sky should give away more of their Sunday night games on Pick or E4 or something like that (BBC or someone like Channel 4 would never turn over the 6pm-9pm slot on a main channel). Freeview viewers will have only been able to watch 3 Live games on TV this season, and one of those was via the Yahoo apps. Sky Sports Action/Arena has been a ratings disaster since its inception unless it's Darts or simulcast on Main Event.

If you want to grow (or even maintain) interest in a sport - probably with the exception of football - you really need to have as wide an audience as possible being able to have access to watching it. Looks at what's happened to cricket (viewers, participation, overall interest) since coverage went to Sky, and to a lesser extent, F1. Keeping the majority of coverage of the NFL on Sky won't help the sport, and hopefully the numbers from the BBC's coverage show that. A few more games a year on the BBC would be great.

I find it very odd that they put Redzone on Mix and the full games on the proper sports channels when Redzone is the more appealing product and the one more likely to get people to fork over for the sports package. I know I was delighted when they made that move as it meant I could cancel sports and just use Mix as I always watch Redzone anyway. I have since got the sports package back for the playoffs but Im fine with that as I got through the whole season with just Mix.

Seahawks Vs Raiders
Eagles Vs Jags
Titans Vs Chargers

Actually not a terrible set of games, a good set of QBs (well depends on who the Jags have next year)

Might do the season ticket again

I hope the Titans can get revenge on the Chargers for that time in 2007 when I saw them live in Nashville get defeated by the then San Diego Chargers. Bastards ruined my day out :x

Not a bad slate to be fair, apparently they dropped it to 3 games as they want to focus on the "Tottenham Hotspur" game and make sure that goes off without a hitch, the 4th game will be reinstated next year.

This hasn't gone well for you so far. Hopefully that run continues with the Vikings later.

Good start Vikes, need to punish them while we're on top.

As Tom Brady wins his 6th Superbowl, he managed to beat;

Marcos Mariota
Blake Bortles
Nick Foles/ Case Keenum

Not exactly a who's who of HoF QBs.

17-0. That’s it.

Well done Vikings.
