Overkill?

Similar to what GamesTM did with Street Fighter 4. Interesting how it's never been done before, & then SUDDENLY, 2 magazines are doing it with weeks of each other.

Controls don't work.

I've never really been sold on Wario Land. The fact that it's only £26 at Zavvi hasn't even tempted me.

I hope a few pick it up at that price. Don't let two reviews put you off.

I'm willing to just write-off the second half of 2008 for the Wii.

Roll on 2009. Viva la Madworld/Fatal Frame/Tales/all those cool looking Marvelous games!

While I don't think there's nothing good on Wii, I can't argue with the fact that 2009 looks much better. Fatal Frame is brilliant, btw.

It's not like the covers were that intricate. They were fairly plain and it wouldn't have taken long to plop them out.

I got the Mad Hatter, one of the crappiest villians.

As someone who isn't an Animal Crossing fan, 2008 is pretty much done at this point.

Still, I haven't even started Okami, Zack & Wiki, Boom Blox, or RE:UC yet so there's something to go with.

NGC, or maybe even NGamer again, did it back with the release of Phantom Hourglass and there were about 8 different Zelda covers. I got the Minish Cap one - the only Zelda game I don't own :fp:

Controls don't work.

Why do did all the most recent previews suggest that they work fine then?

Dunno. I'm not familiar with the guy who reviewed it for NGamer, to be honest. Justin Towell, his name is.

I'm waiting on more opinions before I decide to give it a miss. Shame if it's true, as I was really looking forward to it.

Yeah me too, I'm just surprised that controls are sighted as the problem given that most places has reported them fixed.

Hopefully it will turn out that the guy is just wrong or had them wrongly calibrated or something.

Edge did it before that, didn't they? For one of their specials or something.

NGamer have also done it on two other occasions that I can remember. Once for Zelda and another time for the issue reviewing Bully.

I have the cover with all of them on... added bonus of this one is that you alosi get Alfred sitting atop the logo :)

Very upset about Samba though, was my most looked forward to game this year. Previews said it worked what went wrong?

IGN only just today described the controls as "broken" in their latest podcast, so it might be more than just bad calibration.
