That's a bit low. :(

Any chance you could post the last few lies of the review?

In fixing the moments outside of the courtroom, AAI lacks the intense pinnacles of drama available only in the courtroom. Ultimately, Edgeworth is more interested in being right than defending the persecuted - an interesting angle in Capcom's ongoing obsession with all things justice, but colder for it.

Summary
Edgeworth is always good company, but what this spin-off fixes in execution, it loses in melodrama. Still, nice to have the gang back

No game. Black background with red logos for Gameboy, N64, Gamecube, DS and Wii in a pyramid type shape. With the tagline "A Decade of Nintendo". Looks pretty cool.

Should've been "a Decadence of Nintendo" amirite?

Picross 3D deserves a much higher score, one of the best puzzle games in the last few years.

Out of 5...on Wii?

The Wii versions of these games aren't that good I thought?

Well the PC version is better than a 3 out of five.

It's the same score we gave to the first Wright game - just trying to keep things in perspective. It's probably the weakest Ace Attorney to date, but such is my love for Wright at al that I couldn't bring myself to properly beat on it. More Ace Attorney is only ever a good thing, after all.

How prominent is the gum of the shoe? And is he as entertaining as usual?

I will get the mag, am a subscriber, but it'll be sent home so I won't get it for a little bit and want to kno

The use of Gumshoe's a bit odd. It's almost like they wanted him to be the sidekick throughout, but he's too much of a comedy character so they invent a new sidekick a third into the game. Edgeworth actually has something like five different sidekicks throughout the game - Capcom clearly struggled to dredge up a Maya/Trucy-alike. A little bit after writing the review it dawned on me why Investigations didn't work as well as the others - a sidekick is key to uniting multiple cases. Without one it feels too much like separate episodes.

Is it fair to say that the mechanics are perhaps more inventive but at the cost of the drama? I always feared that ignoring the courtroom would potentially lessen the impact of any confrontations. The back-and-forth between defence and prosecution has always been key to the series' appeal, I think.

That's kind of it - but we're still talking baby-steps where the mechanics are concerned. I think the structure is more open to narrative tinkering, but whether or not Capcom take that opportunity is another matter...

Half of the drama was courtroom back and forth, half was the brilliant music, and half was witty writing.

I see what you mean about the sidekick issue Matthew, still looking forward to it as I love the characters but I won't expect another Trials and Tribulations.
