It is hard to do that though, even if it wasn't for people not helping.

You want an Intel Core i5 processor and something like a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti graphics card. The rest of the parts aren't as important, you might want an SSD (Solid State Drive) to go alongside a standard HDD. 4 or 8 GB of RAM probably won't make that much of a difference to you, faster is better.

I have a shitty laptop that can play the games I want to at basic graphics levels. I'm really not asking for much. I cannot be strawberry floated to build a computer, and I'm also living in Japan now, so I have no idea where I could buy one other than the internet. I am so busy as well. I don't want to build one. Not because I don't think I can, or because I don't think it's worth it, but because I want to save myself the time.

This whole topic was supposed to be easy but you guys have gone on your strawberry floating self-dick-sucking spree and been all "build your own PC otherwise you're a noob" and my god I do not care enough to build my own PC. I'll keep this shitty laptop for a while. I never knew it could be so hard to recommend a half-decent computer for a half-decent price.

Stop sucking your own dicks and just give me some half decent specs to look out for and I'll do the rest.

It takes two hours to put a pc together, and that's giving you plenty of time. You've put together flatpack furniture before, right? Its the same deal Its not difficult in the slightest.

Get on a strawberry floating train to Akihabara, go into a PC store, buy the strawberry floating parts we told you to and put it in a strawberry floating case like we showed you.

You asked a question and we gave you the correct answer. Stop fannying around and either take our advice or stop moaning.

I'd go for more than four gigs of RAM if you're after a gaming PC. I was quite surprised to see a game recommend 6GB last month!

Honestly though, if you really don't want to build it yourself I'd strongly recommend using something like PC Specialist and choosing the parts. Building it yourself isn't the important part, but ensuring you get decent components is! A dodgy cheap PSU for instance could well choke on extra parts down the line when a decent one would not, even if it's supposedly less powerful!

It's well worth building one yourself though, if only because you'll learn so much in the process. You'll be much more comfortable adding or replacing components in the future for a start.

G-rex, sorry but you kind of forgot to mention the part where you are in Japan and also all the honest answer that pretty much amount to, "I don't know who to recommend as in my experience they're all a bit gooseberry fool".

Sorry I can't help you. I sincerely hope you manage to get a recommendation from someone who still buys a PC from a store as there simply aren't that many left on here (which is why I asked for someone to come out of the woodwork, as I genuinely don't know who makes good PCs anymore).

That doesn't mean no-one is willing to help. Just almost no-one buys PCs off the shelf in this community; if they do they seem to be normal PCs they don't shout about.

And I doubt many people have a frickin' clue where to buy in Japan (unless you want to pay for incredible shipping).

My brother is in Kyoto and there are a massive shops full of PC parts in Osaka. He was more than prepared to buy parts there - why not just head along to a local shop and say what specs you want, I bet they are more likely to just build PCs in Osaka in somewhere like Den Den town for example, than offer you a pre-build.

I didn't see a single PC for sale in any of the massive department stores I saw, only laptops. I'm not surprised as I doubt Japanese people even like massive PCs.

Good post, would read again.

I can't help but shake the feeling we're all terrible people.

I'm actually serious. Sorry G-rat. I used to be good at this.

G-Rat, why not find 5 PC's you can get hold of in Japan, link us to them and we'll tell you which one we believe is best?

PS: A majority of us probably can't read kanji or katakana, etc. Be sensible with the links.

I have found a PC for you that should be perfect for your needs (assuming you have decided to buy a pre-build).

Amazon PC.

Here you go mate, don't let the haters strawberry float around with you.

I've made you an excellent, and most importantly affordable, prebuild with everything you'll need.

Nah, it's more like buying a microwave ready meal from Lidl. You don't want to make your own or pay somebody else to put the ingredients together and so go for something gooseberry fool that was put together in a factory.

Also this meal is done and dusted with after a little bit wheres if you buy some terrible pre built machine then you could end up with years of regret and problems....
