I think list sorting would be better, it's annoying that online / offline contacts are mixed and in no order. Xbox live they're all at the top of the list, very handy, on 3DS it's just ordered by date added

Ninty should take all the feedback on board and add these features as they are pretty much no brainers

I was just flicking through the latest issue of N-Gamer again and in the "23 things you didn't know about 3DS" section it mentions theres no Pictochat but there is an online chat program which allows you to write and doodle so where is it? perhaps they know it's coming in the may update already?

They had the same article up on their website and edited that particular section out. Sounds like they were just making it up, since nobody else has reported it.

There's a notes function (the little pencil marker on the menu) but I don't actually know what that does as I've been on it a grand total of about a minute. Maybe a future update thing?

I've been playing on my brother's 3DS so no friend code for me as I don't have my own one

It allows you to make notes on games.

Suspend your game, click on the notes icon and you can write / draw away.

If you don't have a suspended game it'll do nothing.

Is there a way to sort out friends order, it's really weird to not have online / offline sorted. I have to scroll the whole list to see who is on/offline.

I find it more entertaining than it really should be to add friends now. I click the little button and then think "And I'll never have to do that again."

Should have been that way from the very start, mind you, but it feels good to finally see them get it right. Bizarre communication niggles aside, but thankfully all that stuff is patchable.
