Finished FE: Echoes - Great story and visuals, but map design was basic.

Yeah, it's a beautiful game. The character art is really something, and a bit of a surprise given the couple of titles that came before.

My problem with it (well rather I'd say it's just a preference thing) was that some of the dungeons dragged on a bit. At least it felt that way. I was in the middle of that post-game dungeon when I gave up on it.

I'd say Conquest is still my favourite of the 3DS Fire Emblems for the traditional level-to-level structure, but Echoes does have the superior art/story and the stuff it introduced/re-introduced was really nice.

The Detective Pikachu amiibo will be £15.99 from tomorrow in Argos. It beats the RRP by £4.

Yeah, I noticed that. Was £15.99 when I checked the system yesterday. My staff discount means I only pay £13.50. Safe to say, I bought one, because I am enslaved.

Although I don't think anything was mentioned at E3, it appears that Luigi's Mansion will launch this year according to Nintendo UKs game page.

Well I totally forgot about that and loved the original.

I never completed the first Luigi's mansion, I loved the second (before my brother nicked it and sold it) so getting this is a must.

A new 2DS XL model is launching in UK/Europe on 20 July and it's based upon Animal Crossing New Leaf. Only the box packaging has been shown so far but the console appears to be pretty dull in terms of design.

This is deffinatly on my radar. These games are always so much fun to pick up and play for 15 mins or so at a time.
