Finally opened Etrian Odyssey Untold 2. Feels good to be making maps again.

Samus Returns is amazingly good. Been lost for ages with no idea where to go and it's great. Finally found out what I'm supposed to do. Nothing beats the feeling of a new upgrade and the potential to get a little but further in the game.

I've been wondering how this runs on the old XL, cause I've yet to play it.

As far as I am aware its exactly the same isn't it? The New XL just has some aim controls.

I'm not sure if it affects the Metroid game specifically but the "New" 3DS models feature a faster processor. A couple of games, such as Xenoblade and Fire Emblem Warriors, will only run on the New models.

Edit: oops, I think Squinty meant would the game run the same on the "old" 3DS XL as on the "old" 3DS... and, yes, it would run the same; the old models share the same tech performance.

Samus Returns isn't one of those games though. There's not really anything about it that suggests to me it will run faster on New 3DS, but I haven't seen any investigations into it.

Cheers lads. I know a few newer games perform a bit rubbish on the old model (Monster Hunter Stories, Pokémon Sun/Moon). Wanted to check that over.

I have 40 gold coins expiring on MyNintendo at the end of December and so I've just used them to get a free download of Siesta Fiesta. It's a "breakout" style game that seems to have reviewed well so I'm giving it a go!

I have played that one. It's pretty decent.

Finally beat the boss to unlock the power bombs in Samus Returns. Zen levels of concentration needed to best it. Gameplay wise it's one of the best Metroidvania games ever.

Detective Pikachu is finally coming out here on March 23rd along with an Amiibo.

I had exactly the same situation! Thats kinda spooky . So, i have not played it yet (i'm sure i will get a few hours of fun from it though as i love Arkanoid type games). Any thoughts on it from your perspective?

I've not played it yet, kazanova - I only really downloaded it to get something for the coins! I have 70 gold coins expiring this month, too, but there is nothing I want to really use them for on MyNintendo...
