Whoever said Ghost Recon is the stealth best game on 3DS isn’t joking. Designed by Julian Gollop. It’s a cracking take on the xcom/Fire emblem style of game.

I also second that Ever Oasis is brilliant. I really really enjoyed it. Feels like a cross between Zelda, Animal Crossing and Theme Park.

I also really recommend Samus Returns. Ive always loved the Metroid games but this one has been my favourite. The only one I’ve ever 100%’d.

I’m playing through Pokémon Sun at the moment. Been slowly working through it since launch day. I really enjoy it. Think I’ll try and collect every one. Got a fairly good chunk in my Pokémon Y save game and got a half finished copy of Omega Ruby which should net me a good deal of legendaries.

I’m excited for Wario Ware as well!

I genuinely think the 3DS might be my favourite console ever!

Finally completed Pokémon Moon. I know, it's only taken me like 4 years. Just the Looker stuff to do. Really enjoyed the story and character stuff with Lillie and Hau, but found the final fight against Lusamine a bit underwhelming. Great music throughout, too!

Currently working my way through Sushi Striker, Rhythm Paradise Megamix, Detective Pikachu, and Kirby: Battle Royale; and that's just on 3DS!

Looking forward to Warioware Gold.

(butts in rudely) Can't speak about the 3DS version, but I wouldn't have dreamed trying the buttons on Switch! Feels like a touch game through and through, and a great one too. (Probably still better on 3DS though - I got friction burns something rotten...)

I think eurogamer said the switch pretty much gimps the game and feels better on 3ds.

I find using a stylus makes this game mostly a joy to play. Occasionally I've found that you need to be really precise when chaining sushi together, though. I've been in the middle of a chain, and run the line over a piece of sushi, then on to the next, only to find that the previous two didn't connect and the chain has been broken as the piece has gone off-screen. But that only happens very rarely. Overall, I can't imagine trying to use buttons, or just my finger on Switch.

Pretty much my opinion too - the overall mystery is too obvious, and the individual cases get dragged out, but the world is fun and pikachu carries it by being constantly amusing

I enjoyed the demo of Detective Pikachu, but yeah the narrative is aimed at 10 year olds, I don't struggle with figuring out the plot of films or novels so I'd expect that. It's well put together from what I played. Just not worth the asking price a the moment.

Nintendo are pushing the 2DS / 2DS XL in the USA as an option for kids to game. Nice, vibrant adverts and there is a huge catalogue of games to fall back on. It's a shame that the 3DS / 2DS doesn't have the same visibility here in the UK. For me, the system remains far more useful as an "out of the home" gaming device than the Switch is.

Meh. I remain on the ‘let’s get every developer producing 3DS games onto the Switch ASAP, a hybrid should be offering the best of both worlds’ side of the fence.

No problem with them trying to flog off the machine, but when I see games like Wario Ware coming to the 3DS while the Switch doesn’t have one... :evil:

Yeah, I can se your point, Balladeer, although - for me - the 3DS still has the advantage in terms of "away from home" play; the smaller form factor and longer battery life just edge it.

Certainly in the UK, though, the 3DS seems to have little retail presence and I don't think it's capturing the attention of tablet/phone-playing youngsters.

I think WarioWare Gold is likely to be the swan song for the system for me.

The only other 2 releases i’ll pick up are Luigi’s Mansion and Bowsers inside story remake.

I still expect we have more Nintendo games to come on 3DS though.
