I always thought that you literally can't play them, not that that they just run poorly?

Snap! I thought you could only download them from the eShop to a New 3DS?

They work fine via an emulator

The thing is I don't think homebrew has to run along with the OS, WiFi, spotpass/streetpass and other gooseberry fool, which probably saves quite a lot of ram/cpu.

I'm very inclined to agree. Who knew that a few boxes could be so charming? The unique style of puzzles caught my attention but the  kept m absolutely hooked to both games.

Where did you buy that bundle? I'm tempted to get my own :shifty:

I got mine on Amazon Japan, but don't forget it's region locked.

3D Out Run is outstanding and should be on everyone's 3DS.

I haven't played it so can't really comment. What I would say is if they've taken the same kind of care and attention to detail in Monkey Ball as with Out Run (there are so many cool touches in this game) then it can't fail to be good. I've no idea though if it's even the same devs.

Scratch all that, wasn't Monkey Ball one of the launch games on 3DS?

Yeah, it was, Rex, and by most accounts it was pretty weak. It's not really part of the Sega 3D series.

I'd recommend...3D After Burner II, 3D Galaxy Force 2, 3D Out Run, 3D Streets of Rage 2 and 3D Super Hang-On in particular.

Might get myself 3D Thunder Blade, its a shame that 3D Power Drift isn't a standalone release. Don't really want to rebuy the good games in SEGA 3D Classics Collection just to get those two.

The cart is £17.99 on Base if you wanted to retain some trade in value.

Can't believe I missed this. From the writer of Suikoden, this should be interesting. Hopefully it makes it over here.

Absolutely rubbish.

Of the 3D Classics, I've loved Outrun, Space Harrier, Streets of Rage (of course) and weirdly Super Hang On the best.
