Ever Oasis, the new RPG from Ocarina and Majora 3DS re-makers Grezzo, launches next week and there is a demo available in the eShop right now. I've had a quick spin and it seems to be fun!

...and, on 22 June, a demo of Miitopia will become available too. Yay! :toot: .

It is quite a short demo - maybe twenty minutes or so - but I enjoyed it. The presentation is colourful, the team-building aspects are neat and I suspect the RPG collecting and crafting elements could get pretty deep. Looking at Grezzo's past record, I'm hopeful that this could be a great game although I fear that it will get little publicity.

I seen the trailer for that Sushi samurai game. It looked really cool.

There's a Go Pikmin demo too.

I knew this was going to be budget but I wasn't expecting quite this

-30fps gameplay for no apparent reason. 60fps cut scene, what the?
-Face buttons can't be used, all touchbased. Even when scrolling through text
-No 3D, I mean really?

The gameplay seems quite fun but this niggles are going to stop me from buying.

Thanks. That's most people posted them now. Sounding pretty positive. I think I'll get it. I've always been put off things like fantasy life and the like, but this seems to be a bit more interesting in my eyes. Will need to trade some old stuff in though as I'm skint.

Pity you don't fancy Fantasy Life, it's a pretty fine game.

Quite a few demos have become available in the eShop during this past week. You can try out Ever Oasis, Miitopia, Hey! Pikmin and Devilish Brain Training right now.

I enjoyed the Ever Oasis one and I'm about to give Miitopia a spin. It looked like great fun in the E3 Treehouse presentation!

The title screen is so funny! It has a ridiculously cheery tune and silly singing  .

The Devilish Brain Training demo made the full game a day one purchase for be. Ever Oasis wasn't so lucky and I've yet to try Pikmin.

I haven't tried it out yet... I wasn't a massive fan of the original Brain Training (it was neat, but I sold on my copy pretty quickly) but I'll give the demo a go.

I liked the Oasis demo, Dragon - the starting gameplay was simple but I enjoyed the three-member team functions and I liked the desert zone. I'm a little nervous about Pikmin as the previews haven't been too complimentary... but I will still try the demo out!

I've started the Miitopia demo and that is gonna be a Day One purchase for me  .

I tried a bit of the demo but it didn't grab me enough to warrant buying as I've still got Disgaea waiting for me after Fire Emblem. I've enjoyed the previous Brain Training games so Devilish will be good to play between sessions of other games or when I've got a spare few minutes. The 3DS might end up replacing the Switch as my portable of choice until Xenoblade comes out

It is strange that, after what seems like a long lull, the 3DS is getting some cool-looking games. It feels good to be using the system again :) .

Nintendo Life liked Ever Oasis:

Nintendo Life wrote:Ever Oasis isn’t just a brilliant adventure, it’s also one that’s come at the right place and the right time. For 3DS RPG fans, who’ve had an unthinkably rich array of JRPG greats to choose from over the system’s lifespan, Ever Oasis is a nice reminder that there’s still plenty of room for innovation on the six-year-old handheld. Its addictive main gameplay loop, fun combat, amazing (and truly different) sense of style, and kindhearted nature make it feel like nothing else; though it reminds us of Rune Factory 4, Animal Crossing, Tri Force Heroes, and Final Fantasy Explorers in turn, this really is its own experience, and one we’d recommend to any action-RPG aficionado.

I tried going back to Xenoblade Chronicles on 3DS (I stopped playing on Switch launch) but I can't get back into it, I feel like I've seen everything the game has to offer and it's just endless content now - and I'm only 25 hours in (I thought I'd played longer, but nope).

I'm going to pick up Ever Oasis though, it sounds more up my street. I guess my 3DS isn't dead quite yet.
