So happy that Youkai Watch is getting a western release. Still endlessly hoping for DQVII though.

I haven't really used my 3DS much this year. But come September that will all be changing. Shin Megami Tensei IV, and Fantasy Life.

I have no idea what this Yokai Watch thing is. From what I heard it's like Pokemon?

And I just realized Persona Q is by the Etrian Odyssey team and follows a similar structure to those games. I know nothing about Persona as a franchise, but pre-ordered for that sweet dungeon crawling

I'm in the same position, Baka. 2013 was a terrific year for the 3DS but this year feels like it has been a lot quieter. Tomodachi Life was a cool diversion but I can't recall playing much else. Nintendo Pocket Football was interesting but it didn't grab me like I had expected.

Nintendo seems to have dropped the ball with the 3DS. I really like the machine, but few big releases and the current console pricing approach (£189 for the XL) is resulting in slow sales and low profile. Perhaps they'll re-invigorate the system for the launch of the new Pokemon games; but they don't float my boat.

Also I think I want Fire Emblem, but I'm not sure. I like RPGs, but Advance Wars was always a bit hard for me, aand when you factor in permadeaths, I don't know if I'll actually be able to get to grips with it.

Also I think I want a digital copy, so might hold out til next week. They ssaid they'll be a sale on Games featuring returning Smash Bros. characters, and like half the strawberry floating Smash roster is Fire Emblem characters right now, so there's a decent chance that'll be discounted.

It's happening! I'm hoping that more titles go on sale because I'd like to pick up a digital version of New Super Luigi U and some other VC titles. I'll definitely be getting Fire Emblem (GBA) from what's seen in that picture. Does anyone have any Kirby recommendations?

Yup... buy all of Kirby games. :P (Though Kirby Adventure has 3D Classic on 3DS, and is better than Wii U one which is PAL version)

Every single person who has a 3DS should own Donkey Kong 94. This is not hyperbole.

Bit of a disappointing sale (those Mairo discounts... :dread:) but might still grab Kirby's Dream Land (already have 2), Donkey Kong (GB) and Fire Emblem.

Any idea on UK prices for the discounts? Might go for Fire Emblem Awakening, as it's difficult to find it sub-£35.

Mmm, Kirby's Dream Land 2 and Fire Emblem will be mine. Is Pokemon Rumble U any good?

Looks like I'll be getting Fire Emblem then. Already have a fiver on my Nintendo account, too.

Seconded. I only played it last year for the first time, the game is amazing and has aged very well. Fantastic spin on the classic DK formula.

Just picked up Fire Emblem. Had a fiver in my account so it basically only costed me £20, which seems like a bargain.

Not really played a FE game before, so went with Normal difficulty but permadeaths. Hope the game is still challenging.

It is, I played on that difficulty. You will rage so much if your favourite roll-out keeps dying. You really have to be careful, but also have guts (ie use characters to their strengths). I think it's great. In fact I might get back onto it on this commute. After a nap.

It may seem easy at the start but it definitely gets more challenging, especially if you try to keep everyone alive.

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney was excellent, even for someone like myself who is well and truly burned out on Layton. I gave up with Pocket Football as there isn't that much variety, but I put a good amount of time into it. There was the Chibi-Robo game as well, which I'll pick up when it gets a discount.

Mario Golf, Kirby and Tomadachi don't appeal to me personally, but are meant to be decent. Yoshi's New Island is alright, too, but I haven't tried that either. Smash Bros. and Pokemon will do huge numbers later in the year and Fantasy Life gets a lot of praise. It looks like most of their efforts are focused on turning the U's fortunes around, but there have been some good games released, and we should get Monster Hunter 4 and the intriguing codename STEAM next year.

Unlike the Wii U though, there are some good third party options coming though in support: Theatrhythm Curtain Call, Gunman Clive 2, Persona Q, Shovel Knight, etc. Also, if you've never played them, the upcoming Ace Attorney HD Trilogy is surely worth a punt. Bravely Default was meant to be pretty good, too.

Can't wait for Persona Q. Tempted to pick this up:

A bit pricey at £69.99, but that case looks gorgeous. Had no idea NISA opened an EU webstore. Lots of special edition goodness in the EU, finally.

GAF had a thread on the NIS EU store. It turns out that it's more expensive to buy something from the new store than it was to import it from America. Of course, now that the EU store is open, NIS America won't ship to Europe.
