I had to stop playing 'cos they hurt my hands so much. Everything about the land combat controls are apalling especially the vehicle controls :dread:

As a left hander using the right handed controls, I got on fine.

Posted in the bargains thread, but feel it's worth repeating.

Tesco Direct have sales on a few 3DS titles, and a £5 off £30 spend code.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros (3DS) £14.70
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) £17.20

"£5 off when you spend £30 on all Entertainment. Use eCoupon code TDX-PFW6. Offer ends 20/07/2014."

Just picked up Mario and Luigi and Mario Tennis. Came so close to spending £18 on a pre-owned copy of M&L earlier today.

Why is the Nintendo 3DS XL still £180? I'm trying to find a black one but they're so expensive compared to when I bought one last year for £120 brand new from Amazon with NSMB2. Hugely regret selling it now.

I want a new 3DS XL for Shovel Knight and Smash.

Yeah the price is pretty high considering how long it's been out for. I picked one up for my lad for £130 when game randomly reduced the yoshi special edition 3dsxl last month. Not sure why they did it but I jumped in and got John Lewis to price match it.

Glad I invested when I did, definitely couldn't afford one now.

Mmm, the original 3DS is so much comfier to play with than the XL. Even with the smaller screens and reduced battery life.

You're opening up a can of worms there, 'Marker. I gotta say that I agree; I find the build quality and screen quality to be a lot better on the original machine. I voiced that opinion before and there weren't too many GRcadians in agreement, though!

I'm definitely not drunk and I agree with the other 2 guys :o I find the XL has a nasty cheap plastic, and the screen looks horribly stretched and grainy. I also hope next time around Nintendo addresses the rather slippy slider stick too (obviously that goes for all 3DSs).

I think in general the build quality of 3DS and some of the console design choices was a step back from the old DS Lites (why is the touch screen a different size than the main screen, for example?!)

Nintendo sent me a Tomadachi Life demo via email today. Worth checking yours.
