Afaik that's actually a fungus that adheres to the inside of the screen hence it not budging. Tbh if you are sending rma then I wouldn't do anything that might make it look like you've deliberately damaged it.

The same thing got worse in transit when orbital sold 3ds to bacon and he went ocd mental about it. The only explanation for it literally growing is that some form of fungus is getting stuck in 3ds screens in the factory and then it grows on condensation or something. Weird gooseberry fool. That's exactly how orbital's 3ds looked, the brown splodge.

The same thing can happen in camera lenses.

Ah, fair enough. Kind of icky that it's a fungus, right? But aye, I'll RMA it in that case. I kind of want to just ignore it, but it's fairly distracting, and probably liable to get worse if it's something actually growing there...!

Indeed. Fortunately mine was perfect and I immediately put the hori screen protector on. Sounds like you just got yours, so do do that, you don't notice it but the upper screen can get scratched along the bezel of the lower one.

Sadly I dropped mine when I was drunk but only lost some paint on the corners.

Aye, sounds sensible - when I get it back from Nintendo I'll put a screen protector on it. Fingers crossed it'll be back in a week or so - I'm just getting into Bravely Default, so it's pretty bad timing, haha!

Sorry to eat up this thread with questions - perhaps understandably I'm a little worried about mailing my 3DS away! - I was just wondering, is taking the memory card out enough to ensure that all my Streetpass data and eShop games don't get wiped while it's off being repaired?

The one time I'm tempted to buy something off the eshop and the funds adding function breaks

Probably won't want to play on my 3ds by the time they fix it

They had e shop maintenance last night. May be something to do with that.

Looking forward to getting some Street passes and trying out the street pass games.

I think that maintenance is from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight. I managed to add funds from the Wii U Premium Programme via my 3DS last night at 1:30 a.m. so the eShop must have gone down temporarily some time after that.

Yeah, I think some unscheduled maintenance took place but it should be working now. Nintendo shares information on maintenance - click here to view - but it's not particularly clear.

I get 9 hits on my walk to work each morning. And then if I go for a wander around the shops I'll likely pick up another 10. 8-)

I thought that you could only get 10 per day.

You can have a maximum of 10 in Mii Plaza, if you start it (and get puzzle pieces / play Streetpass Quest), you can another 10. There is a sort-of achievement for getting 100 in one day.

Yup, what Dandy says. I use all my hits for the games when I finish up work, then go for another wander to attain more. The 10 hit limit is bullshit really.

Did someone post this already? Let's hope it's a trend!

May take a walk this lunchtime. I love this feature, there's something addictive about the whole thing.

It might be a memory limitation.

Sure. The coin limit is equally ridiculous.

What-ho. Dunno whether this is the right place to post it (new here), but am just doing a shout-out to any existing pokemon community. Am a trader/battler, shoot me your friend code on PM if you like.

If there's a more appropriate thread, a point towards it would be good.
