Does anyone know any good Japanese exclusive 3DS games? I need to justify being a console over here and not just importing PAL software. Smash Bros is out three weeks earlier so that is something.

Does anyone know any English websites that review Japanese software? For example, when I search to see if Level-5's Yokai Watch game is any good, all I get is reviews in Japanese or English sales figures.

A few I'd be interested in, I can't comment on the quality, as I haven't played them:

Shin Sekaiju no Meikyuu: Milennium no Shoujo
Time Travelers (Level 5)
Labyrinth no Kanata (tri-Ace Action RPG Dungeon Crawler)
Tales of the World: Reve Unitia
Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime 3
Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D
E.X. Troopers (PS3 version might be a better bet though)

What is for me, is rarely for others, I've found though, when it comes to my tastes.

I got an LL while I was over last month, only got a few games though:

Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney) 123: Naruhodō Selection
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Taiko no Tatsujin: Don to Katsu no Jikū Daibōken
and 6000 yen worth of eshop cards

I got GS123 because it isn't getting a physical release over here and it has both English and Japanese. PPT is a fairly basic puzzle game and TNT is a rhythm action game (though there is a story based 'adventure' mode) so they'll all be easy enough for my basic Japanese. I'd like to give Yokai Watch a go but my language skills aren't there yet. I'll be in Japan for 3rd year of my course in 2015/16 so maybe I'll be ready in time for Yokai Watch 3.

I'm tempted to get SSB4 when it comes out in Japan but I'm not sure if there'll be any compatibility issues if I get a PAL Wii U version and they have some kind of crossover stuff.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the potential Wii U crossover. I was ready to start boasting about having the 3DS version three weeks early.

Saying that, I might end up buying a Japanese Wii U too, otherwise I won't be able to play Smash Bros. U until next August at the earliest.

I presume game stores here do trade-ins? Which ones are the big stores? There's a Book Off ten minutes away, which Skarjo mentioned.

My Japanese is not at the level where I can understand games anyway, though for something like Smash that isn't a problem.

Yeah, there's a huge second hand market for games (at least in Tokyo) and they tend to be in pretty decent nick unlike preowned games here. Anything marked 中古 is second hand.

I've no idea how to trade stuff in there though, often the have like a separate floor for it I think? Skarjo might know though.

So there maybe a possibility that Shin Megami Tensei IV is going to pushed back to November.

You saved me writing an OP, but if you don't do it justice I'll never forgive you.

I was working on this with the hope of getting it up at the weekend, but as wires got crossed this morning, here's a little sneak peek of a new banner design:

Thankfully the 3DS is old enough that Nintendo have lots of different materials I can use to create something nice.

Is there a 3DS Friend Code spreadsheet anywhere?

Also, what are the current "big" 3DS threads for individual games? Smash, Mario Kart, Pokemon... and Animal Crossing? Any others that are posted in fairly frequently?

The Fire Emblem was quite big at the time of release, and has seen a bit of a flurry in activity recently. It shouldn't be too far down GGC.

If anyone hasn't played it, then Virtue's Last Reward is a steal at that price.
