I think it's still the most amount of time I've spent on any one game.

For me I preferred GoldenEye single player, Perfect Dark multiplayer. I voted for GoldenEye as it has a place in my heart being the first game I got for the N64 on my 10th birthday, when I got the console, GoldenEye and Rogue Squadron. Image

Perfect Dark was arguably the finest multiplayer game available for the system, which is saying something when you had games like Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye etc, the sheer level of optimisation if offered for its time was incredible.

I felt it improved over Goldeneye in just about every single way.

Wowser, I'm proud to say I own all of those games in the poll's list! Perfect Dark wins, Majora's Mask fails. The N64 is the greatest console ever made, and that's all I can be bothered to write at the moment, due to tiredness.

There's no need to be here any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for survivors, and get out of here.

I have a gaming blog too. Read it if you wish; if you don't I won't take it too personally. Metro 2033 is shite!

I voted for Zeldo: Majora's Mask.

I'm one of the few who preferred it to OoT.

You really can't make me choose. I've ended up going for Goldeneye for the Multiplayer aspect, although both of the Zelda games as well as Conker's Bad Fur Day had superior single player.

Anyone remember Excitebike 64 came out when the N64 was on its last legs was delayed for years for release over here. Very enjoyable game some cool tracks and the track builder was cool and being able to play the original was a nice touch.

I got it a few years ago, but I still can't beat the second difficulty mode to unlock Hill Climb. I get to one of the last mountain stages and keep missing some jump, it's really annoying.

EDIT: I voted for DK64, since I've never properly played half of them on the N64. 1080 and Waverace just don't come close to DK64.

Perfect Dark multiplayer was indeed amazing and definitely a good rival to Mario Kart 64. GoldenEye's multiplayer was just as great but the amount of customisation in PD puts it above GE, that being said there were some GE maps that would have done well had they been included in PD. PD did indeed outdo GE even in the single player, it had some good ideas like the Chicago level where, depending on where you put the bomb on the previous level, would determine where your exit was on the next one. But GE's single player still does it for me, probably due to nostalgia.

Huge shame... it's probably because of the Xbox version being available. I got mine when it was brand new, and it wasn't all that much more expensive at the time. I had a voucher, too

Goldeneye all the way since it was my first proper 3D game. Perfect Dark was also pretty good and had a good multiplayer, but Goldeneye is where all my fond memories are at.

Super Mario 64 is probably the only game where you can have fun just by controlling the character, the game is so good it stands the test of time, i really want to complete all 120 stars again on the VC just to get to the top of the castle and to hopefully emulate the glorious feeling of what i believe was the best videogame ever made and probably ever will be forever!

Yeah I had that. It was an RPG about the president being replaced with a clone and stuff like that. Really enjoyed it. Heres the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Heaven

I remember my controller pack wiped itself and I had to start from the beginning again :x

This needs to be on VC and Snowboard Kids (There's more chance of a FF7 remake than this happening though)

What a tough choice to make! But it has to be Zelda OOT for me.

I loved 1080 but I thought it was just too short, not enough courses and they were too short. Same with the GC version.

Hey... what about the amazing Star Wars games for the N64?
Shadows of the empire is a classic!
And other great games like episode 1 racer and Rogue Squadron... although I guess that SOTE and EP1racer are not exclusives but they both hold fond memories that I associate with the N64 :D

You may know me as Max....

I remember paying a small fortune for that game! What a game though, the dialogue still cracks me up when i decide to set up the N64 again and give it a whirl!

Right peeps I'm hoping you can recommend me some N64 games aside from the blindingly obvious. I just rooted out my old one I got on ebay a while back and was disgusted to find that I only got Majora's Mask and DK64 for it. If you can link to a price that would be marvelous but if possible keep it below £10.
