Yep, my thoughts too.

Going by past discussions about E3 floorspace on the Bombcast I'm guessing they had to take as much boothspace as last year or risk someone else getting it. If they reduced their boothspace this year and another exhibitor took it then that exhibitor would have first refusal on that space for next year's show.

Agreed, they probably just booked their usual space so that they don't lose it to someone else, in case they want to turn up and show nothing next year too.

Their boothes are normally pretty sparce with a lot of cutouts and tat.

I reckon they have probably at least a bit to show off at E3 that isn't Zelda, so that's what they'll use the space for.

This is something I never considered, and is highly possible.

Definitely the most likely explanation.

What is also show is that Nintendo has probably had a major last-minute re-think about NX! Let's just hope it's a good one!

Yeah they decided not to show NX at the last minute but couldn't cancel the floor space booking.

Maybe there will be 100 Wii Us all running Zelda.

Don't they have an upcoming Paper Mario game they can show?

I wouldn't be totally shocked if Nintendo dropped a few trailers or bits of news for other games across the event. Its doubtful but I don't think its completely crazy. Maybe Papes. Unless thats been shifted over to NX to.

I think that they would be insane not to show trailers for upcoming Wii U and 3DS software. Reassure your existing customers that there is at least some software lined up to take them up to the NX launch.

Also give a date when the NX is truly going to be revealed so that momentum can build up. This would also mitigate the lacklustre E3 that they are more than likely going to bring. It also stops all these rumours and misinformation about what this thing actually is.

They do which is the extremely odd thing that they're saying this message it will be Zelda only.

Give me some Rhythm Heaven and Paper Mario along with Zelda and you're starting to get a show.

They always announce stuff to the press in dark rooms.

Yeah, but what happens if there's no press?
