strawberry float they really are stupid sometimes, why not just keep producing it, the demand is there and it exists outside of the Virtual Console, I got one cos its a tiny NES, not because I really really want to play those games, it was a nostalgia purchase which is lost with VC games. I know loads of people who wanted one and couldnt get one but if they were still available when Xmas arrived or they had a birthday then theyd probably get one. But no, were killing production cos reasons. :fp:

I think they'll be trying to get people to buy the games on an individual basis for the Switch... at a higher price point. I know that is rather cynical, but that's business.

It also could be that the factory space they've been renting for the Classic Mini they want to use to ramp up production for the Switch given how well it's doing.

It's a great shame. I've barely played mine but know I will at times when I want a nostalgic fix. It was reasonable value, too (when purchased from Amazon). I can't take this with me when I'm away like I can with my Switch... I'm not sure it would compete too much with the re-vamped VC (must enthusiasts would have bought on VC in the past and probably will again to have on Switch, anyway). It's just a little baffling and not very customer friendly.

Genuinely not sure if you're doing an irony there.

Even though Nintendo has made no announcements in relation to this being discontinued in Europe, the prices on eBay UK have increased dramatically.

A week ago, it was going for £90 or so...now auctions are ending at £150+ :fp:

I am tempted to sell mine at that price....but the collector in me need to hang on to it for now. :)

If you don't need the cash right away i would wait it out and see where the prices peak at.

Still beating this drum

Seems a reasonable drum to beat now that production has stopped, wouldn't you agree?

Slightly off-topic, but I've seen a couple of posts on Instagram where people have got Gameboy Colours modded with Raspberry Pis to play Gameboy Advance games, very impressive looking!

Slight spoilers for what will be the best Games thread of the summer ( ;) ) but I'll be doing this and posting about it pretty soon, just need to find a bit of spare time.

I assumed that they had quietly already done that as it didnt seem to have been available in anywhere apart from ebay for the past few months.

Amazing....

I think I'll sell mine when the Scorpio thingy comes out. That should cover the cost.
