I don't really care for those games but I might be interested in a SNES one.

This could be a really good move by Nintendo. Makes so much sense. Hopefully Sega follow suit.

How much does Raspberry Pi cost all in?

Interesting to see what the display is like on a big TV. Obviously it'll be pretty crisp (as opposed to Peter Crisp) via HDMI, but will those old graphics stand up on anything above 32"?

Go dang it, I'm away from GR for 24 hours and there's a new Nintendo console announced and I find myself in complete agreement with HSH. >>> RULES NO LONGER APPLY! <<<

(HSH  )

If it's 50Hz in the U.K. then no deal and shame on you Nintendo.

Nintendo are twats with that sort of thing and I can't understand why nobody seems to object to it.

Final Fantasy was never released over here so it's possible these will be 60hz

They'll release another one, call it Volume 2 or some gooseberry fool and charget £50ish again.

Yeah, because that is literally, exactly, 100% the same. You've got me bang to rights :simper: .

It would seem like a lot more effort to make it 50Hz in the UK

Emulating old games that aren't available any more is not the same as stealing a brand new console.

It's copyright infringement at best seeing as nothing has been physically stolen,.

I also don't really see the appeal of something like this when products like the Retron 5 exist.

Some games would have European languages on them possibly which would be reason enough for them to put out the 50hz version. Super Metroid is 50hz on Wii U because it has French and German language options in the PAL version.

It's pixels so as long as the upscale is competent they should look fantastic.

+1 for a SNES version of this.

Well a Retron 5 is over a £100 for one.

Ah, fair enough.

But we're leaving Europe now so that's not a problem right?
