Never really played these. Had a shot at the first prime but dismissed it too quickly. Trying to find it cheap but it is pricey for an old game. Anyone tried what the first two look like on Wii U?

One day I will find this in Cash Generator for £2.99....one day. :|

I got a gravity suit last night, meaning I can now jump around in water and see better. Its also in funky gold and purple :datass:

The save system both annoys and delights me... I get really annoyed when i need to stop and I can't find a save room, but then when I do find one its like i've found a proper safe haven.

Does anyone know if the percentage shown by your save file is an indication of how far through the game you are, or how much you've scanned? It says I'm on 34% now.

I think the percentage includes your scans.

It took me a while to get into the game because of the save system. I've just grown so used to checkpoints every five minutes, it was extremely frustrating to die and know you haven't saved for nearly an hour. I started to realise that much of what I'd done since the last save was exploration, so I wasn't really losing an hour of gameplay, as I'd be able to get back to where I was much faster the second time.

I don't think ive dropped below one energy tank in a battle yet, let alone died. I know those word will come back to bite me.

I struggled with the... um... spinning fire pole boss, as I was still getting a hang of the controls, and died a lot when the different coloured space pirates that were only weak to one weapon appeared (because I didn't scan them and realise this).

I think the percentage is how many items you've got. Suit upgrades, missile expansions, energy tanks etc.

AH right. I'd like to get all of the collectibles for this so hopefully it'll be clear when the end of the game is coming up so I can run around and get the last ones.

I think the scans of the bosses are included. If you miss the first one, then...

Also scans of each "ammo", pick-ups, upgrades etc may be included. Not sure about that but data entry scans from logs, computers and enemies.

In sort, scan everything. :slol:

It pertains to the number of items you have acquired.

Out of interest, are you planning on playing MP2: Echoes after you've dusted off Prime?

Yes i'll be playing all of the games on the disc, but i'll be giving it a fair old gap between each so I dont get sick of it.

To prevent any disappointment... Metroid Prime 2 isn't as good as Metroid Prime.

And I haven't started MP3, because of my stubborn self refusing to play it until I finish MP2.

strawberry float it, come this payday I'm going to buy this mummy strawberry floater.

Ive never really heard people raving about 2 & 3, only Prime so I'm not expecting much really. I'm sure its got its moments though.

3 is good.

2 is the hardest.

1 is the most balanced imo.

although the final boss in prime :dread:

Agree with boris on 1>3>2. All three are great and worthy of your time.

Plot: 1 > 2 > 3
Music: 1 > 2 > 3
Difficulty: 2 > 3 > 1
Fun: 1 > 3 > 2
Overall Best: 1 > 3 > 2

All three are amazing though.
