So what do we reckon this Nintendo Direct will be called? And how direct will it be?

Not enough, most likely.

I think Nintendo got a bit taken aback with how strong the Smash community has become since Melee sold so well on GC in the states, and got a bit confused by the difference between "hardcore", "niche" and anyone else who cares.

(I mean I love Smash, but I own or have owned 5 versions of the same game.)

I'll watch the Smash Direct, but the treehouse stuff with Pokemon Baby Edition and Diablo I'll be skipping.

I’m going to watch the Smash Direct if work will let me, but I’ll leave the Treehouse. I don’t care about Diablo, Let’s Go has been spoiled enough as is, and Yoshi I am definitely interested in but I can’t be doing with combing through everything else to watch it.

Seeing rumours that the other Direct could be aired as soon as the 8th of November. Reckon it'll air this side of Pokemon Let's Go releasing (if it doesn't air on the 8th) as it'll probably have some focus on that in it.

Isn't the 8th of November when this Youtube Switch app tease is supposed be announced?

If it's the 8th it would likely have been announced by now based on precedent. Could mean it's a mini direct that they just shadow drop like January though.

Pretty sure they said on the Smash Direct that it was the last Direct prior to Smash dropping. Outside of a Pokemon themed one, I can't see another happening after such a statement until after December 7th.

I was wondering that and looked back at the vid to see, but then why didn't they say it was the last Smash Direct instead of last Direct?
