I found that a pretty disappointing Direct.

Am I the only one who thinks Xenoblade looks gooseberry fool? All the story exposition sounded terrible. Zero interest.

I'm sure Mario will be great, but I'm not really digging the level art styles so far. Doesn't look like a Mario game.

Unfortunately seeing nothing I'm really excited for.

I think Odyessey not looking like a Mario game was exactly what they were going for. Might put a few people off but to me it looks brilliant.

Nope, nope you're not. Didn't do much for me at all. I'm hoping that MarioO will be amaze but I'm really not convinced so far. Rest of it was basically shite.

Pretty disappointing overall, with most games failing to impress, but Odyssey looked outstanding. Glad to see some decent third-party Switch support, even if the titles aren't ones I'd choose to play

- I still don't know if Ultra Sun/Moon are proper sequels or not. Nothing else (apart from Metroid) on the 3DS that I'd be looking to pick up.
- RPGs aren't the easiest games to demo, but I have no idea why the Xenoblade section chose to show off the game like they did.
- Lack of news on the Virtual Console is massively disappointing

I tend to err on the side of disappointment with Directs but that I actually thought was good.

Doom and Snipperclips were two games to get real excited about, Xenoblades looked good as did Octopath Traveller and Mario looks sensational.
