Unless you buy the North American version, no. It's the same charger as the vanilla 3DS and the DSi range, however, and as usual there's going to be plenty of charges available separately.

What the strawberry float, the new 3DS is out next month here? That's quick. I dunno if I'll get one or not, I mostly play handhelds at home so portability isn't a problem. I guess I'll wait on the price.

You'd have hoped nintendo would have learnt, and would price the XL around the 160 euro mark. Probably won't, but eh.

So until the end of the year for 3DS I'll be getting Etrian Oddesy 4, Rune Factory 4, Senran Kagura Burst, NSMB2, Bravely Default, Maybe Devil Summoners, Onitore, Animal Crossing (if it's still pegged for release in Japan this year, didn't check on the ND), Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion.

Quite possibly becoming my favourite console ever.

Got feeling AC 3DS will be for this year in Japanese, but sadly it means 2013 for UK  Oh well, other games on 3DS as well VC games will fill the void until then :D

Still got access to my DS games, playing Chrono Trigger (DS) on my 3DS too

Im actually not that disappointed at the Animal crossing date when you consider we're literally getting a 'big' game a month from August.

A lack of date for Luigis Mansion 2 is slowly doing my head in though...what the hell is the hold up!?

I think the keywords there are "GAME price"...

I'm just huge Animal Crossing fanboy so... xD But yes, you're right - big game every month, oh nom <3 I think LM2 will be around November time. Hopefully earlier, though.

I agree..and i would have preferred Animal Crossing instead of Layton and Paper Mario (gasp!).

I think Luigis Mansion 2 will be September, Layton October and Paper Mario November.

The decision to not include a charger is somewhat baffling to me really.

I can see a lot of disappointed kids come christmas morning, parents buying consoles and simply laughing off the shop assistants insistances that they have to buy this extra charger for even more money, then giving little Jimmy his very first DS, only to find it unusable because it can't be charged.

You assume the Euro will still be a viable currency by the time the 3DS XL is released :slol:

I probably will end up getting the XL, but I'll be waiting for,
1) More colours to be released, wouldn't mind a red one this time around
2) The price to be under £140.
I'm sure there'll be plenty of trade-in offers when you purchase the console, but I want to transfer over all my Streetpass hits since I've got some from France and Japan that I doubt would be easy to replace, and for that I'll need both consoles at the same time. (Why the hell you can't do a system backup to SD card I don't know. Or can you and I just don't know about it?)

Are we? We've not got dates for anything after August.

Nintendo could end up dumping all the stuff they've got for the rest of the year in a relatively short span.

Think it's pretty obvious that with September and November free of a 3DS title that they'll be placed a good 4 weeks from one another..but that's just my opinion.

Has the Kirby Collection been announced for Europe yet? I didn't watch the Europe Direct so I don't know if it showed up or not.

While I am not quite in the same ball park, it is fast replacing the GBA SP as my favourite handheld console ever. Whereas the GBA was pretty much a portable SNES, the 3DS is - to paraphrase Suzz - a GC in the palm of your hand.

I would love a new Wave Race to be announced though. Blue Storm is still one of my favourite racing games ever, and even without analogue shoulder buttons, I think a 3DS version would work. It would look amazing in 3D as well.

If they keep adding to the eShop as well, then the 3DS will just take up even more of my time. Odd, really, as I never felt I gave the DS the attention it deserved, and I missed up on so many great games and, to be honest, my 3DS was very much an impulse purchase and I felt very guilty afterwards. Now I am hoovering up titles for it...

Inazuma 11? :s Where the hell is the PAL release of Trauma Team or Excitebots? I swear NoE have them piled up in a warehouse somewhere. Heck, PAL code was reviewed by EDGE et al LAST YEAR.
