Not sure they can, it seems to be designed around using the gyro to target things. It might work I suppose, but the way they demo'd it seemed like it'd be difficult to control on an analogue stick.

Chibi-Robo looked really good. Think they said yesterday it would come bundled with the Amiibo, just hope that's the case here.

I thought Star Fox looked like quite nice in motion. I do understand the dissatisfaction with its presentation, though. I think I would have felt personally very angry at Star Fox's visuals if I had not played Smash Bros. 4. With that game, I absolutely felt that it looked too plain, going in (although at face value I wouldn't disagree that it comes off very favourably against Star Fox). But I ultimately ended up finding Smash's presentation beguiling because of the game's in-motion interplay of bright colours, fluidity and speed. The seamless momentum of it all was hypnotic, and I think the gracefulness of the game-play transformed the way I looked at the game's visuals--it was as if I was looking at them through a new pair of eyes, and somehow I couldn't see them as disappointing anymore.

I think the recent memory of that above phenomenon is what makes Star Fox look nice enough to me, in that it moves with that same hypnotically fluid momentum--and thoughts of Smash give me confidence in the potential of what that momentum could do for the game's look. I could be well off the mark, but my impression is that, if it were me playing the game at E3, I might get lost in its flow in the same way that I did with Smash Bros, and start to see something new in the visuals. I just got a sense of that, watching Treehouse Live. But that's just me and I don't want to jinx anything or make a premature judgement, because I do love Star Fox and I do hope for the best for the game.

I think the concept artwork that comes with the game looks quite smart, at any rate.

Looks absolutly dire, awful graphics, enforced aiming through the Gamepad screen. Why can't the aiming be like spaltoon if they insist on gyro and have it translated to an on TV cursor? strawberry float off Gamepad argh.

Pretty sure it is. Unless you lock onto the target. From part one. 11mins- fire down without the arwing moving. But then the cursor goes when he targets the next.

That concept art is really nice, shame the game looks so janky.

I just want to see this

Just been playing Splatoon...

...the citizens of Inkopolis seem rather down about the E3 direct.

I'm not sure though. I'm not sure whether to buy an XBox One or a PS4. Ha ha!

Oh well, we've got Mazza Maker and Zelda to look forward to and Hyrule Warriors is on sale. So y'know, it could be worse.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Must admit I was very disappointed by that. Star fox looks very average, No update on Zelda, Dunno what to think of the Metroid games. Mario maker does look like sooo much fun though

It does, they've showed it several times, I don't know how you could have missed it.

I had always assumed that it did, but can't remember seeing it in any of the footage.

Wii U actually has a really solid exclusive lineup for the rest of the year, I mean...

Yoshi's Woolly World
Devil's Third
Super Mario Maker
Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden
Star Fox Zero
Xenoblade Chronicles X

It's not all bad.

Devil's Turd looks like it might be one of the worst games in a long time.

It looks a lot better now than it did last year.
