Hmm, some are saying this now confirmed.

Bold move, so are we expecting random NPCs dotted around?[/quote

I think that's a really good idea although all a bit SOTC?? I like the idea of it just being one massive environment which you don't come out of. Think I'm going to have to tear myself of from this - but it does seems clear that they there aren't going to show any story/characters??

Ooh, snow land coming up, stays watching..........

I read that Aonuma confirmed towns but wont elaborate as they are tied into the story

In all honesty the less we know, the better the experience. Zelda comes out every 5 years on average and i saviour every moment! Probably didn't appreciate skyward sword enough, but this one should give us a few months of real joy.

I like the art style as its different from the current gen style many devs are adopting and we need something refreshing, don't we!?

Could be that there are no towns in the demo area. Or no distinct towns you have to load into. More like some homes and shops in the wilderness.

I think there will be at least minor settlements, shops, and interesting NPCs scattered around. This is in many ways an update of the NES version, which had those things accessible from the overworld.

As for large towns? I don't mind. Everything else Nintendo have shown today has been really impressive; I think I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure large towns were thought about, and I'm sure the best decision for the game was reached.

I guess it adds to that feeling of isolation. I love the fact that they are making changes to the game and the combat looks brilliant already.

Love you.

strawberry floating hell. You'd think with all that floor space they'd have ample demo stations set up.

Of course there will be towns - I can't believe some people doubt it!
