Scoop for the Guardian there. How did they keep it so secret? Actually sounds reasonably complex, AR... Actually glad I stayed up to watch that. Now I just need to purloin some kids!!

A bunch of sites already had a go with it and were embargoed until tonight.

More like LABOrious amirite.

strawberry floating genius, very clever and I could see this being used in schools.

Also strawberry floating lol at the pricing. £60 for some sheets of cardboard

Will wait for someone to put templates online and try a few :shifty:

Cheers for that. I just think this is incredibly brilliant. True blue sky thinking. Iwata would have been proud!

I'm unsure. It all looks really cool, creative and fun... but maybe only for a few goes? I feel the software has to be exceptional to justify eighty dollars for that robot set and I suspect that the cardboard isn't going to be that robust.

So conflicted!

Schools won't be able to afford it but I get your point!

Yeah the cardboard is £60 and you have to buy the software to use it separately.

The software is included though (or am I missing something?)

If the software is purchasable separately then people could just make their own on the cheap

Yeah, I doubt that the software will be available separately and it would be quite a task to replicate all of the "bits" that you get in the sets.

Yeah, I can see why they’ve gone for cardboard from an environmental perspective, but none of these things are going to last, surely? It doesn’t even look like it’s fancy coated cardboard, just your standard amazon box corrugated stuff...

Also, it’ll still take up just as much room as a plastic peripheral would, because no-one’s going to dare to try and dismantle it for fear of ripping a tab off

I guarantee it won't be long before there are numerous 3D prints etc. available for replacement parts.

Wait, the £60 price doesn’t include the game?

How can anyone justify that!

I'm not sure about that... the Nintendo site says that, for both main packs, the software is included.

It's almost like Mafros response to Ad7 was a bit sarcastic.
