It definitely didn't get anywhere close to living up to that trailer, no matter how deluded you are about the quality of the final product.

Twilight Princess was a great game with a superb soundtrack (Faron, Snowpeak, Temple of Time etc), memorable characters (Midna, Yeto ), a wonderful if slightly barren game world and was oftentimes a joy to play. It may not be the best Zelda game, and it may not have lived up to the hype the Wii generated before launch, but it's a very long way from being a "gooseberry fool" game.

I really like Twilight Princess - I had a lot of fun with that game. I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed it more then Wind Waker - even if I loved that game also.

TP is garbage and I can't believe Hugo agrees.

It's practically made my day.

Good job Nintendo. No one will even remember you exist after E3.

Because holding a big ass conference for like a half dozen games (most of which we already know are coming) while your main competitors are cumming buckets over their new consoles makes so.much.sense.

Letting them get away with it, and hiding in the corner is the only strategy then. It.makes.so.much.sense.

Get away with what, Manny? Having big shiny new consoles? They're not committing crimes.

Nintendo isn't hiding in a corner, it just recognizes that it'd be better for everyone if it served its software news in bite-sized chunks aimed at specific groups, like investors, and us gamers, while Sony and MS hold their big hardwarey events.

People claiming this is 'gon hurt Nintendo are completely insane. They'll use Directs to show the stuff to the viewers and they won't have to hold off on giving information just to wait for E3 then they'll show and let the journalists at the event play the games and report on playable demos, not some shitty market spiel that gets thrown out every year on stage.

The huge thing is that outside of gamers themselves, nobody actually gives a gooseberry fool about E3 and the mainstream press are going to have the playable demos to talk about anyways. The conference when they have Nintendo Directs and other ways of communicating to gamers/the press are a huge waste of money in this day and age.

There still can, and most likely will, be, it just wont be at a big keynote buried under a bunch of charts and numbers. Why are people giving out about this, its exactly what people want from E3, get rid of the gooseberry fool and just tell us about the games. Keep the numbers and charts for the media and other people who care about that gooseberry fool.

Megaton would be Nintendo acquiring Capcom and Sega (and even nVidia) showing Wii U's true specs and the oculos rift is reveal to be a Wii U peripheral.

Invites for the media only conference have gone out, no news if it'll be live-streamed but probably not.

This year, Nintendo is taking a different approach to E3. We’re giving you the chance to get closer to the games through a unique hands-on experience at our booth before the show opens.

Featuring remarks from Shigeru Miyamoto and Reggie Fils-Aime

Tuesday, June 11, 2013 (US times)
Registration Begins – 9:45 a.m.
Opening Remarks – 10:30 a.m.
Game Play and Q&A – 11 a.m.
