During Ubisoft’s financial conference call for the first quarter of fiscal year 2016/2017, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot talked about the Nintendo NX, stating that what they have seen so far of the console is really great. Guillemot also notes how having this machine coming is going to help the industry growing as well as take a lot of casual players back in the industry.

The NX portable surely had to be some sort of phone style handheld now, what with all the mums playing Pokemon go. Nintendo being nintendo will think they'll all buy s second device to play a retail version of it on, rather than just carry on with the free one on their pocket Facebook machine they already own.

Compare it to the WiiU and if anything I think the wii's success actually led to it having more games for the core market.

Just to clarify - I *love* the Wii and, yes, there were a ton of great games for it! In fact, I was only talking about it earlier this year.

I love most of my wii games, just the though of pandering to filthy casuals brings up images of the wii u game pad and balance boards

I can think of only the following good games on the Wii.

Mario Galaxy 1 & 2.
New Super Mario Bros.
Zelda Twilight Princess.
Zelda Skyward Sword.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Mario Kart (but even that was a pretty poor version).

That's it.

Truly the worst system Nintendo has ever released. I hated everything about it...no more power than the GameCube, stupid Wiimote, and lightweight games.

Fortunately, I thought the Wii U was Nintendo best system since the SNES - the quality of the games is amazing!

Yep. Console has a better library than people give it credit. Better than the strawberry floating Gamecube's!

Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Smash Bros Brawl, The Last Story, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Mario Strikers Charged and Pandora's Tower say hi. To call them lightweight or less than good is absurd.

No More Heroes 1&2, Okami, Silent Hill, Sin & Punishment 2, Monster Hunter 3, a better version of Resi 4 etc.

Wii's lineup pissed all over the Gamecube's, which probably has the "worst" selection of games of any Nintendo home console.
