Isn't the upcoming NBA game actually larger than the cartridge it comes on so even if you buy the physical version the whole game doesn't fit on the cartridge so there's a mandatory download required as well?

Digitally it's 25gb.

I don't think they've said how much memory you need for the physical release yet. Some of the game will be playable without but yeah it sounds like you need an SD card for the full experience.

On the plus side, unlike FIFA, it's supposedly the full Xbox/PS release, albeit assumingly with a graphics downgrade.

Reposted from bargain thread:

£20 of eshop credit for £15 w/Paypal

1. Save the offer in that link to your Paypal account

2. Go to eshop on Switch, go to your icon in top right corner and pick 'Add Funds'*

3. Choose Paypal, it'll go off your Nintendo account's email address assuming that's the one tied to your Paypal account. Check email after and activate the link between the two accounts.

4. Go back to eshop>your icon>'Add Funds' and add £20, entering your NNID password when prompted.

5. You'll have £20 in your account now, and you'll receive an email confirming you were charged £15 instead of £20 :)

*Alternatively, you can apparently link to paypal with this link

It sounds awesome but, if the PayPal offer is anything like their PSN one a few months back, the small print will mention that it's limited to four people or something  .

On that, it has this odd disclaimer:

This offer is valid until 2,500 credits have been saved into customers’ PayPal accounts, whereby the offer will expire. See full Terms and Conditions for details.

I err have no idea what 2,500 'credits' are in pounds but it sounds similar to what you mention there. Still, at time of typing it's still up thankfully!

I like Nintendo - a wee bit less because of the great November Miiverse cull ( :x ) - but even I think their logon and accounting system is atrocious. NNID, Nintendo Account, My Nintendo, Friend Codes, console logon paswords... it's hard to think how they could've made it any more complicated

Is there anyway to use the Paypal offer on the 3DS shop? I can't find the option to add funds using paypal on 3DS...and I wouldn't mind the £5 off for some SNES VC games :)

Just an update. I FINALLY found a link to a game (sonic mania) so I thought I'd buy it in the browser and add the paypal funds...

I got as far as the checkout and then got this:

Fuuuuuuuuu :fp: :fp: :x :x

Nintendo I swear to god. I have a Wii U and 3ds eshop account, both with credit cards linked to them, but I'm not allowed to spend money in the browser shop? Oh strawberry float off.

Nintendo really are gooseberry fool. Downside is as long as everyone forgives them and moves on they will never change.

Then why are you buying it? (Sorry if I missed a previous explanation)

Nintendo's whole online environment is a mess, which is why avoiding it is the best approach.

I have one on back order from Tesco. I'm getting it for Mario so if it turns up by then I won't opening it until Mario day. I will be getting sonic mania for it, so I thought I'd buy it now to get £5 free to spend on something else later.

Ah okay, makes sense with the free £5 thing.

I'm not sure that £5 is worth your sanity

When it comes to buying Sonic try switching your location to Russia and see what the price is. Was 699RUB when I bought it which was £9 (+ £1 currency conversion with my bank) so was near £7 cheaper that way. And it really is just a case of switching your location via your Nintendo account, no need for setting up a new one.

I also got Sonic Mania on the Switch, heartily recommend it.

Switch will be my go to console for these Indy titles. Just wish Stardew Valley, Rime and YookaLaylee would get a move on.
